Gold Breaks 4,120 Support as Oil Reignites Inflation Fears
Gold held a range between 4,220 and 4,120 for weeks. Every dip below 4,120 got bought back leaving some wicks. However, today looks different. Oil is up almost 2%, which feeds inflation fears and keeps rate-hike bets alive.
I want to see follow-through lower so I can buy closer to 4,000. Iβm personally no longer looking to short on the way down.
Buyers have defended 4,000 every time gold sold off sharply into it, and weβre only about 2% away. Iβm eyeing cash-secured puts near the 4,000 strike on GLD to get paid while I wait.
Although I'm bullish medium-long term, I'm going to stay patient and lean on the EdgeFinder for the green light.
A deeper flush just hands me lower prices to accumulate.

The AI tech sell-off continues to be the overwhelming theme driving the market. This leaves the Nasdaq vulnerable.
Unfortunately, I seem to have missed the pullback, though I'm open to hopping in short if it presents itself again.

Why Oil Looks Capped: The $105 Level to Watch
USOil ran with momentum into the end of last week, but itβs possible it may stall near $105. The setup is simple. Either the US and Iran de-escalate, and oil drops on easing supply fears.
OR... the conflict drags on, oil pushes higher, and prices get high enough to weaken demand, which drops oil too.
Both paths lead lower.
Diplomacy is back in play. Saudi, Pakistani, and Turkish officials are meeting Iran to revive talks, and Hormuz shipments have recovered to near prewar levels. The risk is strikes resuming after this weekβs Israeli elections and next weekβs US midterms.
I think oil is relatively capped here. 105 is my line to put on defined-risk downside trades.

ETH Signal playing out nicely. As "Uptober" comes to an end, I'm looking for a sustained drift lower in Crypto.
I'm waiting for a definitive break and hold below support at $2,300. In that case, I'll trail stops behind structure and lock in a guarantee profit.

Gold 4H: possible rebound starting?
I am watching for a potential breakout on the 4H chart, as fundamentally I think things have shifted more bullish recently.
Yields are starting to show signs of cooling off, and economic growth metrics are a bit soft as well.
I am already in bullish options positions on gold, and looking for more setups if we can see further price action proof.

The AI trade is breathing a sigh of relief today.
Today tech is bouncing. SOXX is holding its 200-day and the Mag7 names are recouping. Nasdaq sits near 29,670, below the 30,000 resistance
The Nasdaq and the 10-year yield have been falling together. Their rolling correlation just flipped positive for the first time in months, after reading negative for most of 2026.
A positive Nasdaq-yield correlation means bonds and tech are moving inversely again. When tech sells off, money rotates into bonds, yields drop, and bond prices rise.
With bonds yielding north of 5%, you can leave the AI trade for a risk-free return.
All eyes are on the Fed's decision tomorrow. The hold is almost certain, but forward guidance (if there is any) will move yields and the Nasdaq.

I'm very curious to see if this is a sustained rebound in the Ai trade or not. Tomorrow's rate hold is almost certain, but forward guidance on rates will influence the integrity of this Ai rebound.
If you see a hawkish outlook, I'm looking to fade the Nasdaq rally. However, if they hint at a hold, then I'm likely staying away.

Gold tends to be inversely related to real yields because holding it carries an opportunity cost that rises when inflation-adjusted returns on bonds rise.

Gold Now Hinges on the Fed: Hawkish or Dovish Today?
Gold bounced off the 4,000 support and sits near 4,042, pressing the descending trendline from the September high.
The market prices about a 90% chance of no hike today, so the guidance is what matters. Hawkish, meaning a hike or a clear push toward December, keeps the dollar bid and pressures gold, with risk of a drop back below 4,000. Dovish, meaning patience on rates, gives gold room to base and rally.
The cleanest tell is the 2-year yield. Itβs the chart version of the Fedβs tone. Watch 4.82 as the upper limit and 4.617 as the prior low. A break lower, with a weaker dollar, points dovish and bullish for gold. A break higher points the other way.
I personally lean bullish on gold, but Iβm not positioning ahead of the print. Will be watching the 2Y to see how the market digests the Fed!
