2023-yil sentabr oyida USAID YES dasturi Farg‘ona viloyatidagi “Barkamol avlod” markazlarida Biznes klublarining faoliyatini boshladi. 18 ta tajriba-sinov maktablarining 378 nafar o‘quvchilari 12 nafar maxsus tayyorgarlikni o‘tagan mentorlar tomonidan o‘quv dasturi doirasida o‘qitilib, 2024-yil 25-may kuni sertifikatlar bilan taqdirlanishdi. Tadbirkorlik va hayotiy ko‘nikmalar bo‘yicha treninglar orqali YES dasturi yoshlarga jamiyatga va iqtisodiyotiga innovatsion hissa qo‘shuvchi yoshlarga aylanish imkonini beradi. Tadbirkorlar bilan uchrashuvlar va joylarga tashriflar kabi tadbirlar o‘quvchilarning o‘quv jarayonini boyitadi. In September 2023, USAID YES Activity launched Business Clubs at Barkamol Avlod Centers in the Fergana region. With 12 trained mentors, 378 students from 18 pilot schools completed the program, receiving certificates on May 25, 2024. Through entrepreneurial and soft skills training, YES empowers youth to become innovative contributors to their communities and the economy. Activities included guest lectures and field visits, enriching students' learning experiences. This initiative fosters employability, innovation, and economic resilience, paving the way for sustainable development and a brighter future. 🌟

The Young Professional Internships Program (YPIP) hosted this year's opening ceremony for 75 interns on May 31st at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent.
Deputy Chief of Mission Paul Poletes from the US Embassy Tashkent and American Councils Country Director William O'Roark delivered opening remarks and warmly welcomed the participants.
This transformative 12-week summer program, funded by the US Embassy Tashkent and implemented by American Councils, is designed to provide Uzbek students with opportunities in professional business and STEM fields. During the upcoming summer period, 75 finalists will gain practical work experience and a greater understanding of international business practices as they prepare to enter the competitive 21st-century workforce. YPIP participants represent and come from various different educational and professional backgrounds including business, STEM, tourism, English language, media, law.
In addition to placing interns at numerous businesses and enterprises across Tashkent, YPIP also provides the interns with dedicated business mentors, ensuring a meaningful and positive internship experience. Through professional development events, interactions with industry leaders, and collaboration within their cohort, our interns will build a robust network of peers and professionals.
The US Embassy and American Councils are incredibly proud of the new cohort of interns and excited to witness their professional journey this summer. Here's to a summer of learning, growth, and professional development! 🌟

USAID’s Youth Employment Skills (YES) Activity recently held another round of trainings for pilot school teachers in Fergana, Uchkoprik, and Oltiariq districts. These trainings are a fantastic opportunity to gather year-end feedback on Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) and discuss plans for the new academic year. Teachers engaged in activities designed to equip them with modern pedagogical approaches, making the day rich with discussions, presentations, and reflections. All participants were awarded certificates confirming 36 hours of teacher training attended throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. Congratulations to all the dedicated teachers! 🎉👏

ℹ️ Tom Toomey has been involved in international youth education since 1994. He has worked on many educational exchange programs across the world. For the past 20 years, Tom has implemented short-term programs focusing on English language, leadership, media literacy, and conflict transformation for youth.
⚡️ During the session, Tom led an engaging and insightful workshop on Time Management and Critical Thinking. Participants learned practical strategies to manage their time effectively and enhance their critical thinking skills, essential tools for both their professional and personal development. The session was interactive and provided participants with actionable insights they can apply throughout their internships and future careers.
