Earlier in April, USAID Youth Employment Skills (YES) held a meeting with the Barkamol Avlod multidisciplinary child development center to discuss challenges creating innovative after-school programs for Uzbekistan youth. With a growing young population, helping youth to prepare for the future demands of the labor market is crucial to support the long-term economic stability of Uzbekistan. In the framework of the partnership with Barkamol Avlod, YES plans to develop afterschool clubs to foster youth participants’ job readiness and entrepreneurial thinking.
