πŸ’« C5+O.N.E. Cohort 3: Bridging Experience, Building Excellence in English Education for Energy and Environment Professionals in Uzbekistan

The C5+O.N.E. (Opening Networks through English) National Training of Teachers for Cohort 3 language instructors took place on January 11-12, 2024, in Tashkent. This training, attended by 11 skilled classroom teachers, aimed to prepare them for conducting communicative English classes for 15 new groups of Energy and Environment specialists in Tashkent and Karshi. Key aspects covered included program administrative procedures, best practices for delivering English classes, and a focus on English for Specific Purposes (ESP).

Experienced classroom teachers from Cohorts 1 and 2 actively shared their insights with the new instructors, enriching the training with practical experiences. This collaborative exchange ensures that C5+O.N.E. classroom teachers are well-prepared to provide high-quality English language instruction to Cohort 3 participants.

🌟 C5+O.N.E. is expanding its presence in Uzbekistan, with more than 280 participants across 30 groups in Khiva, Urgench, Samarkand, Nukus, Karshi, and Tashkent. A team of 18 skilled language instructors will guide learners through classes tailored to different proficiency levels.

The C5+O.N.E. program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and is administered by the American Councils for International Education. During this program, participants spend 5 hours per week in interactive English lessons, focusing on improving their communication skills through student-centered lessons. The course duration is three trimesters, totaling 180 hours. Moreover, it offers an exciting opportunity to participate in regional seminars and workshops, fostering professional networks and promoting regional connectivity throughout the implementation of this project.
