๐ #RARinAction in Urgench and Karakalpakstan!
From July 22โ24, 2025, the U.S. Alumni Summer School brought together 30 active alumni from Khorezm and Karakalpakstan at the Antalya Grand Palace Hotel in Urgench. Organized in collaboration by the Regional Alumni Representatives of both regions, the event aimed to strengthen connections, share experiences, and inspire new initiatives among alumni of FLEX, Access, SUSI, Fulbright TEA, E-Teacher, JFDP, UGRAD, C5+One, and other U.S. government-funded exchange programs.
Over three days, participants followed three thematic tracks: Leadership & Community Engagement, Educational Excellence & Innovation, and Entrepreneurship & Start-Ups. The program began with welcome remarks, icebreaker activities, and an Alumni Sharing Circle, where participants reflected on their exchange experiences and connected with peers from other programs and regions. Sessions covered topics such as youth leadership, community engagement, innovative teaching strategies, academic publishing, pitching start-up ideas, building prototypes, and grant writing. Practical activities like โDesign Thinking for Community Impactโ and โOpen Space Discussionsโ encouraged alumni to work together on solutions for real community challenges.
The Summer School ended with impact project presentations and a certificate ceremony, leaving participants motivated and better equipped to put their ideas into action. Trainers Feruza Masharipova, Gulsanem Allamberganova, Dilafruz Sarimsaqova, Jamshid Karimov, and Elbek Khodjaniyazov guided the sessions, helping alumni gain new skills and strengthen their network.
๐ค This event showed how alumni collaboration, professional development, and shared experiences can lead to new opportunities and stronger community impact.
