This patient had an incredible story and now has an incredible, yuge #hernia. He developed sudden onset mid to lower back pain that he described as “felt like I was getting ripped in half”. He went to the ER and lost consciousness. He was diagnosed with a ruptured infra-renal abdominal aortic #aneurysm. He had emergency surgery, had the aneurysm repaired, was in the ICU for a month, and has since recovered completely. Six months after his #emergency #surgery, he developed a bulge under his #midline incision and it has gotten larger over the years.
