In violation of the new ceasefire agreement, the IDF has begun a new attempt at capturing the strategic Ali al-Taher Hill overlooking the city of Nabatieh, southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah detonated an IED against an Israeli vehicle a short time ago, which is currently burning. Clashes are ongoing.

All previous attempts at capturing this Hezbollah stronghold bunker complex have ended in failure, with the most recent attempt yesterday resulting in 4 deaths and 17 injury among Israeli soldiers.

This is the 6th attempt by Israeli forces at capturing the complex.

Definitely the most resistance put up by Hezbollah so far during this war, even more than during the battles for Khiam.

At least two oil tanks were destroyed, another suffered significant damage, and two others suffered minor damage. Additionally, the bitumen production unit and some technical trestles were damaged.

The cloud cover makes it difficult to determine the full scale of the damage, but as usual, it's never as impressive as it seems in the videos of the large fires burning. Because they deal with such flammable materials, refineries are designed to be robust against fires.

The sun will rise in around 6 hours. If they are unable to achieve any success, it's likely that the IDF will cease attempts to capture the hill by then.

Another Israeli ground push is being made now. Heavy machine-gun fire is reported. Hezbollah is launching rockets at the Israeli ground forces.

The U.S. drone strikes near Aleppo reportedly targeted an STG-affiliated ISIS cell.

The IDF is bombing the Ali al-Taher Hill with white phosphorus right now, ahead of the ground advance.

More burning IDF tanks after their 6th failed attempt to capture the strategic Ali al-Taher Hill in the last week.

I genuinely don't know what the IDF thinks they're doing...

They control NONE of the hills surrounding this facility. This hill has no buildings for cover, just a bunch of booby trapped bunkers and tunnels.

Attacking it head on is literal suicide, and the constant airstrikes and artillery shelling has not seemed to have stopped Hezbollah attacks from Nabatieh, or rocket launchers from rear Hezbollah positions.
