The Ukrainian Air Force claims to have shot down 4 Russian Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles during Russia's overnight attack on Kyiv.
This is false. The 4 missiles they are referring to were actually Oniks supersonic cruise missiles launched from northern Kursk Oblast, only 2 of which I could confirm were intercepted. It's possible 4 were shot down, but I can't personally confirm that.
In fact, only 2 Zircons are known to have been launched - from near Millerovo, Rostov Oblast. Neither were shot down.

Unusual information in the daily Ukrainian General Staff report today...
The Ukrainian General Staff reports that Russian forces carried out attacks through the dried-up river bed of the Kakhovka Reservoir yesterday, towards the city of Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
This appears to be the first time Marhanets has ever been mentioned in daily reports on Russian activity. I haven't seen this attack be mentioned anywhere else yet.

Ukrainian forces have now recaptured around 532 kmยฒ of previously Russian-controlled territory and grey-zones in the Lyman direction, as a result of their last 4 months of counteroffensive operations and some smaller clearing operations in early 2026.
Of this, around 479 kmยฒ were in Donetsk Oblast, ~32 kmยฒ were in Luhansk Oblast, and ~21 kmยฒ were in Kharkiv Oblast. The large Russian bridgehead west of the Zherebets River has now been reduced to four smaller bridgehead, including one larger section connected to the Slovyansk direction, and 3 smaller, partially-isolated footholds further north. All four of these remaining bridgeheads are shrinking day-by-day
Extremely heavy Ukrainian artillery and MLRS shelling, along with intense drone attacks, continue on Russian positions close to the frontline, as well as in the tactical and strategic rear, supporting the ongoing offensive operations.

Reminder: I have an active and moderated group chat on Telegram with over 4.5k members, where anyone interested in the war or other current events can join and discuss things with others.
It's one of the only large non-echo chamber chats on this app, and we recently did a big purge of disruptive pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian fanatics, so I encourage you to join if you're interested! It's also connected to my channel, and serves as a comment section for it as well.

For over a year, this NAFO account @.notafella69 has been working with other people to try get me arrested for "working with the Russian FSB".
As ridiculous as it sounds, this is indeed what they are trying to do. All because I don't report what they want to read, and question the official narrative.
I'm not worried about it because I have nothing to hide, and it obviously won't go anywhere, but I thought I would mention this because of how incredibly psychotic and insane it is.

I understand that Russia remains committed to prolonging the war of attrition at the cost of fewer casualties and even further territorial losses, but time continues to take its toll on troop morale and public support for the war. Losing the Lyman salient has not been particularly costly for Russia, as it ordered a swift withdrawal, and it is highly likely that the Ukrainian advance will be halted at Zherebets; the issue is the impact on the morale of troops who have seen almost a yearโs work undone in a matter of weeks, without noticing any substantial change in the dynamics of the war. This is compounded by the lack of reinforcements on certain fronts, the failure to implement countermeasures, and the absence of intensified attacks on the Ukrainian rear.
The disaster of 2022 will not be repeated, but neither do the advances of 2024โ2025 seem likely to be, unless Moscow decides to take more radical measures to accelerate the deterioration of the Ukrainian armed forces โ something that could be carried out now that the Russian parliamentary elections have concluded.
Local setbacks are not a cause for concern at present, but their accumulation will eventually take its toll on Russian morale and, consequently, on the conduct of military operations, which could lead to a genuine stalemate on the front by 2027.๐ท๐บ๐บ๐ฆ
