I understand that Russia remains committed to prolonging the war of attrition at the cost of fewer casualties and even further territorial losses, but time continues to take its toll on troop morale and public support for the war. Losing the Lyman salient has not been particularly costly for Russia, as it ordered a swift withdrawal, and it is highly likely that the Ukrainian advance will be halted at Zherebets; the issue is the impact on the morale of troops who have seen almost a yearโs work undone in a matter of weeks, without noticing any substantial change in the dynamics of the war. This is compounded by the lack of reinforcements on certain fronts, the failure to implement countermeasures, and the absence of intensified attacks on the Ukrainian rear.
The disaster of 2022 will not be repeated, but neither do the advances of 2024โ2025 seem likely to be, unless Moscow decides to take more radical measures to accelerate the deterioration of the Ukrainian armed forces โ something that could be carried out now that the Russian parliamentary elections have concluded.
Local setbacks are not a cause for concern at present, but their accumulation will eventually take its toll on Russian morale and, consequently, on the conduct of military operations, which could lead to a genuine stalemate on the front by 2027.๐ท๐บ๐บ๐ฆ

Z-fanatics are now hallucinating two different encirclements: one in northeastern Kharkiv Oblast, and one in Dobropillya.
Neither are anywhere near encircled, especially Dobropillya where Russian infiltrations behind the city remain very limited and sporadic.

To the Nafoid boomers who keep emailing my parents trying to inform them that I'm supposedly spreading Russian propaganda, just know that you're wasting your time. They have been aware of my reporting since day 1, and have followed my work this entire time.โฆ
By popular demand, here's one of the recent emails sent to my parents by a NAFO account.
I cropped out his email address because I don't want people harassing him, as unlike NAFO, I don't dox people for disagreeing with me. But I thought it would be funny to highlight how psychotic some of these people are.
This person, who I wont name, is a man who lives in Sydney and frequently takes part in pro-Ukraine rallies. So I find it funny that the post which caused him to email my parents, accusing me of being "groomed by Russian intelligence services", was one where I called out westerners who - from the comfort of their safe and peaceful countries - are trying to tell Ukrainians to continue this horrible war.
He and many others perfectly proved the point I was trying to make in that post. You hate Russia more than you love Ukraine, and don't actually care about Ukrainians. As long as Russians are dying, you don't care how many Ukrainians die. Then anyone who tries to call out your bullshit and actually report on Ukraine's struggles is automatically labelled as the worst thing imaginable to you: the enemy (pro-Russian).

During recent counterinsurgency operations in the West Bank city of Qalqilya, the IDF located two 12-metre deep shafts and a number of firearms and ammunition nearby.
They ruled out the possibility that this was a tunnel shaft, but claimed to have arrested four Palestinians allegedly involved, who where subsequently transferred for questioning. Additional operations in the city to locate any further shafts and weapons were carried out afterwards.
