You guys ready for Kramatorsk/Slovyansk update? It's quite major.
Situation on the Slovyansk & Kramatorsk directions, Donetsk Oblast:
Over the last two weeks, Ukrainian forces continued their counterattacks east of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk, making significant progress in multiple different areas.
In the north, following earlier Russian attempts at reversing Ukrainian advances east of Mykolaivka, Ukrainian forces once again regained control over the eastern approaches to Mykolaivka and recaptured most of the large forest north of Rai-Oleksandrivka. They also managed to clear the forests between Pyskunivka and Kryva Luka from earlier Russian infiltrators and established control over the forests southeast of Pyskunivka. Russian forces are attempting to clear the positions in northern Kryva Luka previously entered by Ukrainian soldiers who crossed the Siverskyi Donets River. Despite this, some isolated Russian DRG infiltrations into the vicinity of Mykolaivka continue.
To the southeast, Russian forces recaptured some positions in the treelines east of Rai-Oleksandrivka previously infiltrated by Ukrainian soldiers, and expanded their zone of control in the eastern part of the town and in the treelines to the north. Fighting is now ongoing for the central streets of Rai-Oleksandrivka, where a large grey-zone remains with each side holding mixed and overlapping positions.
To the southwest, Ukrainian forces cleared the large grey-zone between the villages of Vasylivka Putosh, Zapovidne, Orikhuvatka, and Yurkivka, before re-establishing control over Zapovidne and advancing further east to the Siverskyi-Donets Canal. Ukrainian infiltrators are now attempting to cross the canal along the highway towards Dibrova and Minkivka, while simultaneously trying to recapture Yurkivka where a grey-zone remains.
To the south, the Ukrainians cleared the large grey-zone in the fields near Pershomarivka and Vasyutynske, recapturing the latter, and re-entering the villages of Malynivka and Tykhonivka. At the same time, a larger scale operation is underway further south, where, after regaining control over the large grey-zone west of Novomarkove, Ukrainian forces recaptured the strongpoints northwest of the village, which they are now using to accumulate and cross the Siverskyi-Donets Canal. After crossing this canal, Ukrainian forces are entering Minkivka and the adjacent strongpoints, where several footholds have been established, and are now attempting to advance further east. Some forward Ukrainian infiltrators even managed to carry out a deep infiltration for roughly 12 km northeast through Holubivka towards the outskirts of Nykyforivka. Meanwhile, Russian forces improved their positions slightly through the treelines northwest of Markove and continued attacking in the area of Fedorivka.

Situation on the Kostyantynivka direction, Donetsk Oblast:
Over the last few weeks, heavy fighting has continued in the Kostyantynivka, primarily on the flanks. The "stalemate" within the city itself has remained in place.
In the west, Ukrainian forces cleared the village of Mykolaipillya and the surrounding fields from earlier Russian infiltrations and pushed south towards Dovha Balka, recapturing Rozkishne and the northern part of Dovha Balka. Russian forces are now attempting to regain control over the northern part of Dovha Balka to resume infiltrations towards Mykolaipillya.
To the east, Russian forces improved their positions in the treelines west of Kostyantynivka, and continued their infiltrations into the Osykove and Oleksijevo-Druzhkivka areas. In Kostyantynivka itself, some residential blocks in the western suburbs were cleared, and low-intensity fighting continues for the large grey-zone in the northwestern districts. Taking advantage of this lack of Russian assault operations within Kostyantynivka, the Ukrainian command is attempting to bring infantry into the northern part of the city from the area of the railway line, and subsequently managed to expand the grey-zone towards the Old City.
Meanwhile, Russian forces continued deep infiltrations through the large grey-zone north of Kostyantynivka and are attempting to enter the village of Kurtiivka. Fighting continues for the village of Stinky and the nearby forests.

Overnight, Russia carried out a combined missile and drone attack on Kyiv using RM-48U S-400 ballistic missiles, possibly Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and Geran-4/5 jet-drones.
Strikes were carried out on several different targets, with ballistic missiles targeting the Rusanivka area of eastern Kyiv. Large fires broke out following the strikes.
During the attacks, radars failed to detect the first missiles in flight, which is not uncommon for RM-48U ballistic missiles. The last missiles were detected by radars - these ones may have been Iskander-M ballistics.
Additionally, no sirens sounded prior to the impacts, which was caused by a failure by American satellites to detect the missile launcher activity at their launch sites. This has happened in the past, with the most recent incident occurring a little over a week ago in Mykolaiv when an Iskander-M was launched from Taganrog.

Claims circulating stating that the U.S. has stopped providing intelligence data to Ukraine about Russian ballistic missile threats are completely false, and originated from hype channels on Telegram alluding to this possibility. It also stems from a fundamental misunderstanding of how this process works.
Western satellites detect Russian ballistic missile launcher activity and subsequently transmit that data to the Ukrainian GUR, which triggers air raid alerts in all regions within range of the launch site. This method is not perfect, and this is not the first time western satellites have failed to pick up ballistic missile activity. For example, on October 2, an Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, impacted Mykolaiv City. Its launch was not detected by western satellites. Similar instances have occurred in other regions in the past.
The first missiles not being detected were due to them being of the RM-48U modified S-400 type. It is not known why Ukrainian radars are sometimes unable to detect these missiles either until they are falling or after they impact, but this is something that has happened multiple times in the past. Ukraine has their own radars capable of covering their entire airspace, and they do not rely on any western radars or AWACS to detect Russian aerial targets.
Furthermore, American intelligence informed the Ukrainian GUR of the threat of a Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv potentially occurring three days ago. The threat window was for 72 hours, and tonight was the last night. It's likely that this will be extended further due to the low number of missiles (6) used tonight.

Claims circulating that Dobropillya has been captured by Russian forces are false. There will likely be a large information campaign by Russia in the coming days and weeks to exaggerate their progress in the city, and we may even see the Russian Ministry of Defence claim the capture of the city soon.
Currently, there is only a grey-zone in the southern suburbs, where Russian forces are attempting to gain a foothold, and a larger infiltration zone in the east and northeast, where sporadic Russian infiltrations continue to be detected.
I advise you all to be very cautious when viewing information about this sector, as there is a lot of disinformation coming out from both sides. Deepstate is obviously not showing the true situation either, and claims the nearest Russian-controlled territory is still 5.3 km away.
If flag raising videos come soon, please remember that a geolocation of a soldier somewhere does not prove control, let alone consolidation, over that area, but just that a soldier was present there at a given time (assuming its not AI-generated). Russian soldiers have been present in Dobropillya city in small numbers since the beginning of July. Russia's tactic is to send in small infiltration groups of 2s and 3s, resupply them with drones, and have them hop between positions to avoid being detected by Ukrainian drones and soldiers, before sending in reinforcments to accumulate and attack the city from within. The same tactic was used in Pokrovsk and Kostyantynivka.
As of now, I estimate that there are no more than 2-dozen Russian soldiers present in the city, mostly in the southern streets. A few hundred Ukrainian soldiers are likely also present within the city.

New satellite imagery posted by @avivector shows a Russian Tu-160M strategic bomber being equipped with up to 10 Kh-101 cruise missiles at Engels-2 Airbase.
This aircraft was subsequently redeployed to Ukrainka Airbase in the Far East, and will take part in the next large-scale, combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine involving strategic aviation, which will likely occur towards the end of October.
