The U.S. State Department has approved the sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 interceptor missiles to Ukraine, worth approximately $2.1 Billion USD.

The sale will be funded entirely by Ukraine's partners, including Canada, Germany, Norway, and the EU's Ukraine Support Loan.

No timeline on the sale has been provided, but it's assumed that the interceptor missiles are intended to defend against Russia's winter strike campaign against Ukrainian energy infrastructure in Kyiv.

Dobropillya direction.

Several Russian DRG groups continue to operate deep behind Ukrainian lines north and northeast of Dobropillya, with Ukraine so far being unable to clear them out.

Recently, one of these groups was detected operating on the southern outskirts of the village of Vesna, approximately 11.5 km from the nearest Russian-controlled territory.

These DRG groups continue to pose a major risk to Ukrainian drone operators and artillery crews. It's possible that they are attempting to conduct reconnaissance to direct strikes against valuable rear Ukrainian targets, carry out sabotage actions, or identify safe infiltration routes for the actual assault groups.

Radio Free Europe's Washington Correspondent reports that the Patriot PAC-3 interceptor missiles are not expected to be delivered to Ukraine until after 2030, which would mean they would have no effect on Russia's winter strike campaign against Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

He also reported that there is no breakthrough on joint production of the missiles, with no concrete timeline for domestic production.
