✨ Building Connections at Our Master’s Networking Orientation! 🎓
Our Master’s Networking Orientation was a valuable opportunity for students to connect, exchange ideas, and begin building meaningful relationships with fellow graduate students and the AUPP community.
The event brought students together in a welcoming environment to get to know one another, share experiences, and establish connections that can support their academic journeys and future professional growth.
At AUPP, we believe that graduate education goes beyond the classroom. It is also about building a strong network, learning from one another, and creating opportunities for collaboration and success.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this gathering a meaningful start to the journey ahead! 💙

⚖️ Learning Justice Beyond the Classroom
Students from AUPP’s Faculty of Law, accompanied by lecturer Ruth Whittaker, visited the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) for an insightful learning experience exploring Cambodia’s recent history and the pursuit of justice and accountability.
Through a guided tour of the Court’s permanent exhibition, students gained a deeper understanding of the ECCC’s role in investigating and prosecuting crimes committed during the Khmer Rouge regime and its lasting significance for Cambodia and the wider region.
The visit also sparked lively, thought-provoking discussions back in the classroom, connecting historical lessons with contemporary questions of justice and the rule of law.
AUPP’s Faculty of Law extends its sincere gratitude to Mr. Vannkeng Dit of the ECCC for his warm welcome and valuable insights. At AUPP, learning goes beyond textbooks—connecting students with real-world institutions, history, and the pursuit of justice.

🔎 Research With Communities, Not Just About Them
How can research move beyond observation to meaningfully involve the people at its heart?
AUPP’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Asia Research Lab, AUPP’s research club, hosted an action research workshop led by former Executive Director of Woman Peace Makers (WPM), Ms. Kry Suyheang, who is now a Monash Global Peace and Security (GPS) Fellow in Australia and former Executive Director of Women Peace Makers.
The session explored one of the key challenges of action research: ensuring that communities are not simply subjects of research, but active participants in shaping the process and contributing to meaningful change.
Thank you to Ms. Kry Suyheang and everyone who joined the discussion and contributed their perspectives!
