Was discussing internally today with my team on buying HTF bottoms - I think it is impossible to do so with conviction in real time.
When I make claims like 75k is an area of interest, it is almost always for LTF bounces. There is no universe in which I say this is a do or die price and I will all-in this level with no invalidation.
You simply cannot ascertain what constitutes a bottom in real time, and only in hindsight will you know. This is why in order to preserve capital, one should be monitoring when key ranges are reclaimed to size risk up as opposed to dying on a hill at 80k/60k/40k/20k.
Sure you'll miss the first leg of the move but if that was truly the bottom you won't really care because you have a whole bull market ahead of you. But you would've preserved your capital - and that's what truly matters in a bear.
