The past month has been challenging. Due to a structural shift in price drivers in crypto, from an industry specific regime to a macro one, my instincts and reads on the market have not worked.
I used to ‘feel’ like I’ve an edge judging by how much of a sense I had on explaining market moves, but since then I’ve been off. Could be a bad streak, could be something else, only time will tell.
Since the month of March I’ve been basically breakeven with trade volumes dropping 60-70% vs past month averages. I’ll continue keeping volumes low and S/Ls tight until I determine that market movements are in my favor once again.
To reiterate, I still don’t think the HTF picture has changed for crypto - we were in a bear market before tariffs and I think we’re still in one. I still prefer to look for short setups on alts (non-BTC) on bear market rallies, as I don’t think we’ve approached deep value territory for any of these coins just yet.
