Key updates:
- it introduces validator scoring based on performance
- it improves censorship resistance
- it paves the way for automatic suspensions for underperformance to ensure the network's reliability

We’re excited to share that the first security audit of Common Mobile—conducted by the renowned firm Kudelski Security—is now complete! We’ve just published a summary of the findings along with the full report for transparency.

The outcome? Just a minor observation, classified as negligible and promptly addressed by our development team. The Kudelski team also highlighted the thoroughness of the project analysis, praising the well-structured repository and high-quality codebase.

Next up: the audit of the Shielder! We’re currently reviewing its findings and will be sharing the full report with you very soon.

🌎 Mainnet – Decentralized 🌎

Hey everyone!

The block production and finalization process on Aleph Zero is now in the hands of community validators!

Starting now:
– a permissionless rotation algorithm chooses block production and finalization committees from all community validators, shifting control from a few trusted nodes to a broader, decentralized community.
– The Aleph Zero Foundation has one reserved seat in the 14-member block finalization committee. This ensures a swift response to unlikely future finalization issues while maintaining system decentralization.
– The block production committee size has been reduced from 50 to 30 seats. This change extends the time a validator is not in the committee, allowing them to update their node without affecting staking rewards.

Decentralization is one of blockchain’s core principles—it removes single points of failure, distributes power, and strengthens security.
