US stocks took a breather as Nasdaq' s record run came to a pause. MAG SEVEN constituents, Meta and MSFT led Nasdaq's fall over worries about increased spending on AI. Dow fell 0.23%, S&P dipped 0.99%, Nasdaq fell the most dropping 1.58% and the Small cap Russell 2000 closed 0.76% lower.
USD index continued to move higher crossing 99.50, 10 year yields too added some weight moving near 4.10% and cboe vix closed almost unchanged at 16.90.
Crude futures traded virtually flat despite optimism over US China trade deal nearing completion. WTI traded near 60.30, Brent near 64.70.
Indian markets closed lower after FED meet where the chair hinted at uncertainty over December rate cut. A sharp fall in INR vs USD and resumption of FPI selling also led markets lower. Sensex fell 593 points whereas Nifty closed 176 points lower. Most sectors with some exceptions in Capital Goods and refinery stocks saw prices dropping on profit taking.

Weak Wall Street cues, adverse macros may cloud indices' march towards life highs for the near term and stock specific moves may continue to dominate trade setup on Dalal Street. Participants may continue to maintain manageable positions as after a small consolidation indices may regain momentum to take out life highs over next couple of weeks' trade, however stock specific trade with rotational bias remains the smart trade for the near term.
