Kedarnath Yatra remains incomplete without the darshan of Baba Pashupatinath. To make this possible for devotees who cannot travel to Nepal, this sacred temple was established in Haridwar.
The Shivling here is Panchamukhi (five-faced), just like in Nepal—each face representing a divine aspect:Tatpurusha, Aghora, Sadyojata, Vamadeva, and Ishana—symbolizing the essence of the four Vedas and the cosmic form of Shiva.
Crafted from the same sacred “Kasauti” stone, this temple is considered the only true replica of Nepal’s Pashupatinath,
Built in 1819 by the then King of Nepal, Rajendra Vikram Singh, under the guidance of Swami Shravan Nath Giri.
