Devi SHAILAPUTRI is manifestation of green Light with her.
She REDUCES ANGER and also cures diseases and illness.

Naivedya : Any sweet made from PURE GHEE or Halwa / Kheer / Pongal
Thithi : Prathama
Colour : GREY
Raaga : Thodi Raga
Mantra : ॐ देवी शैलपुत्र्यै नमः॥ Om Devi Shailaputryai Namah.

Moon, the provider of all fortunes, is governed by Goddess Shailaputri and any bad effect of the Moon can be overcome.
Worshipping Devi Shailaputri brings CALMNESS into our mind
it a practice to do GHATASTHAPANA.
Seeds of 1,3,5,7 or 9 are sown on a SOIL BED created and watered daily. These seeds grow over the 9 days.
Shailaputri Temple is located at A-40/11, Marhia Ghat, Varanasi.
Visiting this temple brings happiness in marriage & increases bonding between husband and wife

Shri Kushmanda Devi Temple, located in Ghatampur, about 40 kms from Kanpur, was re-built in the 17th century by Ahilya Devi
This temple is also known as the ‘Monkey Temple’ because of the large numbers monkey in its vicinity.
It is also considered as the fourth Shakti Peeth.
