*CAT 2024 Total 3.29 Lakh Registrations - No Growth in CAT Numbers
The official media release for CAT 2024 reveals that a total of 3.29 lakh candidates have registered for the exam. This figure mirrors last year’s numbers, suggesting a stagnation in CAT registration growth despite the continued interest in management education across the country.
While other competitive exams have seen an increase in applicant numbers, CAT appears to have reached a plateau, raising questions about factors such as exam preparation costs, competition, or other entrance exams gaining preference. With CAT being a gateway to the prestigious IIMs and other top B-schools, this trend is certainly noteworthy.
Could this be due to shifts in career choices, or are prospective students exploring alternative pathways for higher education? Share your thoughts on what might be contributing to this steady number.
