We are looking to long EURGBP into the BoE rate decision this week…
Fundamentally we should expect a slightly dovish BoE meeting on Thursday given the latest CPI print in the UK.
I mean, they will hike 25bps but the forward guidance should turn more dovish than what’s currently expected, and that should put bearish pressure on the Pound later this week…
That’s the fundamental context at the moment, the technical side is also on a similar note pointing higher with that break of the trendline, all at a higher timeframe support zone

Squeezing in the right direction, BoE was dovish but not as dovish as it could have been tho, so the EURGBP trade for us is already well protected with stop loss at breakeven and we will be trailing in profit soon
CPI from the US later today, keeping an eye on it as it should set the fundamental sentiment for the next couple of weeks, will share if any interesting trade comes out of it
Waiting for the right setups for the next trade, could be EURGBP longs for the next leg higher above 0.87 but just a thought for now, will be keeping an eye on the CPI from the UK tomorrow as a potential catalyst and will share more details when we see something actionable
Targeting near 1.07 on AUDNZD over the next week or so.
Mix of bearish fundamental context coming both from the data from China which weighs on the AUD more than it does on the NZD, and the overall data from Australia itself which supports a more dovish RBA ahead.
So fundamentally looking for some downside in the pair while technically also we have that noticeable trendline break suggesting a move lower too, you know…
Fundamentals for the directional context, technicals for confirmation and entry

The retail sales from New Zealand later tonight are a bit of a risk to the NZD so we took a bit of profits and have protected the AUDNZD shorts already, eventually if it spikes higher we will likely want to short it again, will see what we get
We are long EURGBP from earlier today, targeting 0.87…
Liking the technical side here with the bullish engulfing right after price took out the lows below 0.85 which in and of itself is already a solid bullish signal.
But, what’s MORE important is actually what caused that specific price action, so what was it?
The PMIs from the UK yesterday, quite recessionary prints that are likely to lead to a more dovish BoE ahead, so that dovish repricing of expectations for the GBP adds a bit of fundamental context for EURGBP longs to do alright

Been a bit of a chop right above the entry so far with no strong follow through yet, anyway…
Still looking for that expansion higher and this week is more about the EUR than it is about the GBP as we have the German and Spain CPI scheduled tomorrow.
Is it important? Yes, that’s where we want to see an upside beat for us to continue targeting 0.87 on EURGBP.
So keep that piece of data well in mind tomorrow, because if it prints above consensus great, but if instead it prints below expectations then we will cut the trade at breakeven

Keep in mind more data from Europe tomorrow with the ECB minutes on top of it and right now the stop loss on our position is already set at breakeven, so from here it’s 0.87 or breakeven

And breakeven it is for us, softish data from Germany this morning and also dovish ECB minutes so with this context EURGBP likely chops around these levels for a while as both the EUR and GBP side are now fundamentally bearish
Currently just sitting on some longer term trades with the Private Network.

Still sitting on those EURCAD shorts by the way, 1.42 is the full target so still some distance to go
We are looking to short AUDUSD, target 0.6280…
Hawkish FOMC yesterday supportive of Dollar strength.
Seasonal flows in the upcoming weeks are usually bearish AUDUSD...
And a big bearish pin bar on the daily chart printed yesterday with the FOMC as catalyst.
So, fundamentals, seasonals, and technicals all suggest further Dollar strength in general in the coming weeks.
And with that we like AUDUSD shorts in this context, target 0.6280
