🇮🇱⚰️📝 — 25 minutes before the ceasefire time, the Israeli Prime-Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the IDF rescued the deceased bodies of Oron Shaul, whom was Killed in Action during Operation Protective Edge in 2014 AD

In a special operation by the Shin Bet and the IDF, before the ceasefire came into effect, we returned to Israel the body of the late Golani fighter Oron Shaul.

I hug the Shaul family, my dears, and congratulate the Shin Bet and IDF forces for their resourcefulness and courage.

The picture of Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin, may their memory be blessed, who fell in Operation Protective Edge in 2014, has been placed before my eyes in my office for many years as daily testimony to my commitment to bringing them home.

We have completed the mission to restore Oron, and we will not rest or be silent until we also complete the mission to restore Hadar Goldin.

We will continue to work to return all of our hostages - both the living and the dead.

🇮🇱🇮🇱❌🇵🇸 — On social media, Israeli activists, as the deadlock over the list of hostages to be exchanged loom, are calling for mass reprisals if the mother & children of Bibas family - Kfir and Ariel Bibas, and their mother, Shiri Bibas - taken as Hostages during Hamas-led October 7 attack from Kibbutz Nir Oz (which was entirely destroyed during the attack) are pronounced dead

If the Bibas children are dead, the Palestinians must finally be given the “Nakba” they claim to have already experienced.

They will deserve a true “catastrophe.”

If those boys are dead, Gaza must be evacuated into Sinai and then every inch of it must be bombed.
No forgiveness.

“But that is collective punishment.”

Indeed, it is.
That is the point.

If those boys are dead, then I no longer care about stupid conceptions of so-called “international humanitarian law” governing the effects of armed conflict on so-called civilian populations.

If those boys are dead, Israel should become the country it has always been wrongly accused of being.

➡️ One should note that amid the pacifist desires of the Israeli left and international factions for a ceasefire in Gaza, the decision by the outgoing Biden and incoming Trump administrations to impose a ceasefire almost unilaterally has only cemented Kahanist rhetoric in the more conservative wings of Israeli society.
