Sunsetting the ADAUSDT, BNBUSDT, DOTUSDT, EOSUSDT, XTZUSDT, and YFIUSDT Quanto Futures
One of our biggest responsibilities is making sure we provide markets for products that command liquidity and reflect the preferences of our user base.
This sometimes requires us to allow some contracts to ‘sunset’ - in other words, allowed to expire and not be renewed.
With this in mind, the ADAUSDT, BNBUSDT, DOTUSDT, EOSUSDT, XTZUSDT, and YFIUSDT Quanto Futures will sunset after the regular March expiry at 12:00 UTC on 26 March 2021, meaning there will not be M21 Quanto Futures contracts listed on these pairs.
For more details, please see our blog: https://bit.ly/3pQiMK8

Increasing Risk Limits for XBT Futures, Resulting in Lower Margin Requirements for Large Positions
We’ve always risen above the competition when it comes to margin requirements for trades both large and small. But we’ve never stopped looking at how to improve, so we’ve decided to increase risk limits on our popular XBT futures contracts from 50 to 75 XBT to provide users with even more value.
There are no changes being made to any of our Initial Margin or Maintenance Margin rates - this change relates to the size of position to which those rates apply.
The update, which takes place on 15 March at 08:00 UTC, will result in users with futures positions greater than 50 XBT enjoying margin requirements that are lower than currently required. Meanwhile, the majority of users - those with positions equal to or smaller than 50 XBT - will continue to have the same market-leading margin requirements they are used to.

REMINDER: We are launching our ADAUSDT and XLMUSDT Quanto Perpetual contracts on 10 March at 04:00 UTC. The contract became visible on the platform from 9 March at 04:00 UTC as Unlisted.
The ADAUSDT and XLMUSDT Quanto Perpetual contracts will have a fixed Bitcoin multiplier regardless of the Tether/Underlying Coin price. This allows traders to long or short the exchange rate without ever touching either the coin itself or USDT. Traders post margin in XBT, and earn or lose XBT as the rate changes. This quanto risk premium may be one of the factors which results in the swap trading at a premium / discount to the spot price - see our blog post explaining the same concept for ETHUSD from 2018: https://blog.bitmex.com/is-the-ethusd-swap-fairly-priced/
