The Wall Street Journal reports that Saudi Arabia is suffering from a shortage of interceptor missiles and other air defence systems due to the recent heavy daily Ansarallah missile and drone attacks on its territory.

Saudi Arabia is reportedly struggling to defend its entire airspace with adequate air defence, and is redeploying air defence batteries around the country to protect key energy facilities, as well as its palaces. Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is reportedly carefully moving between “heavily guarded palaces equipped with bunkers” alongside handpicked security guards.

Yesterday, two Ansarallah cruise missiles managed to breach Saudi airspace for over 800 km, with one being intercepted over King Khalid International Airport and the other impacting.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Situation on the Veliki Burluk & Bely Kolodez directions, Kharkov Oblast:

Over the last month, Russian forces continued their offensive operations in the salient in the northeastern corner of Kharkov Oblast, aimed at bringing this vast area under their control and beginning a wider push towards Veliki Burluk and Bely Kolodez. Most of their attacks in this sector are still in the phase of limited and sporadic infiltrations, with the actual advances being much smaller than what Russian sources claim. However, the zone of infiltration has been significantly expanded in several different areas.

In the western part of the salient, Ukrainian forces cleared the village of Volokhovskoe from earlier Russian infiltrations and recaptured the surrounding treeline positions. Russian forces have continued their attacks towards the village, and are expanded their assault operations further east. In this area, Russian forces continued infiltrating the villages of Zakharovka, Ivanovka, and Vasilovka, using the extensive built-up areas as cover for deep infiltrations all the way into Blagodatnoe. From this assault vector, individual Russian infiltrator groups pan outwards into to the adjacent tactical heights, occasionally entering the villages of Baksheivka, Buzovo, and Verovka.

In the northern part of the salient, Russian forces established control over a number of positions in the southern part of Okhrimovka and began infiltrating Malaya Volcha from the west, while simultaneously attacking from the forests to the north. As a result of these attacks, they were able to capture most of the village and are now using it to accumulate for infiltrations eastwards into Khripuny and Varvarovka, where they are attempting to consolidate in the former. Isolated infiltrations are also being recorded into the Nikolaevka area, as well as southeast down the gulley towards Reznikovo, where there are very few Ukrainian positions remaining due to the risk of encirclement.

In the northeastern part of the salient, the Russians crossed the international border at a new points, establishing control over a number of treelines and forested areas, and entering the villages of Loshakovo, Chernyakhov, and Khyzniakovo, supporting the ongoing infiltrations from the direction of Malaya Volcha. For the last couple of days, they have also been attempting to cross the border further southeast, towards Kreydyanka, where fighting is ongoing.

In the eastern part of the salient, following the the arrival of new reinforcements, Russian forces were able to reverse much of the earlier Ukrainian counterattacks, regaining control over the villages of Anishchino and Vodyanoe and re-entering Ivashchino. From this area, they split off into two main infiltration vectors. In one direction, Russian soldiers are infiltrating north, attempting to capture the villages of Shirokoye and Ozyornoe, before panning out towards the Rublenoe, Potikhonovo, Komisarovo, Grachyovka, and Kupino. Currently, the main focus appears to be on capturing Shyroke and Komisarove, which would cut off Ukrainian formations further east in the Rublene area.

The other attack vector is to the south, where Rusisan forces are infiltrating west from Olkhovatka into Dolzhanka and towards Slynevo and Gogino, with some isolated infiltrators even manaing to enter the first houses of Prikolotnoe. Other soldiers are attacking southeast from Olkhovatka into the villages of Dolgenkoe and Zarubinka, which is being supported by separate assaults westwards into the forests to the south, putting Ukrainian formations entrenched east of Olkhovatka at risk of encirclement.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Situation on the Kupyansk direction, Kharkov Oblast: Over the last month, the intensity of fighting southeast of Kupyansk has decreased, although Russian forces continue to slowly clear the Ukrainian bridgehead east of the Oskol River as Ukraine faces…
🇺🇦⚔️🇷🇺 Situation on the Kupyansk direction, Kharkov Oblast:

Over the last few weeks, heavy fighting has persisted in the Kupyansk direction, where both Russian and Ukrainian forces are attacking.

In the north, Ukrainian forces continued their coordinated series of counterattacks towards the western bank of the Oskol River, and have managed to cut off the Russian infiltration routes into western Kupyansk by recapturing positions in the forests northeast of Kondrashovka and entering the village of Golubovka. Other assault groups continued their attacks through the forests south of Dvorechna and in the town itself, making additional advances towards the river, albeit with very heavy casualties, especially among Latin American mercenaries.

To the south, Russian forces continued their assault operations within Kupyansk, and managed to bring a section of the northern part of the city under their control, from which they are attacking towards the northwestern high-rise blocks and nearby bakery. They are also attempting to advance in the area of the railway station, city central hospital, and southwestern high-rise buildings, where the grey-zone continues to expand.

Further south, the Russians resumed storming operations on Kupyansk-Uzlovoy from the north and southeast, infiltrating various parts of the town, and attempting to gain a foothold within the residential areas. On the other hand, Ukrainian forces were able to regain control over high-rise buildings in the central part of Kovsharovka and clear some positions in eastern Novoosinovo.

🇺🇦⚔️🇷🇺 Situation on the Krasny Lyman direction, Donetsk Oblast:

Over the last two weeks, Ukrainian forces continued their counteroffensive operations towards the Zherebets River, clearing most of the remaining Russian positions west of the river.

In the north, Ukrainian forces advanced further southeast and east from Grekovka, capturing a number of new treelines and forests, and reaching the western outskirts of Makeevka. They also managed to clear the remaining section of the Donetsk-Lugansk regional border in this area and established control over three more forested areas and several adjacent treelines northwest of Balka Zhuravka (formerly called Nevske).

To the south, the Ukrainians cleared the forests overlooking Novolyubovka and subsequently entered the village from the northwest and southwest, establishing full control over it. From here, they are attempting to dislodge the Russians from a number of positions in the forests west of the river north of Novolyubovka, and clear the remaining areas between Novolyubovka and Ivanovka.

Further south, Ukrainian forces established control over the majority of the remaining positions between Kolodezi and Ivanovka, and began infiltration attempts into the village following earlier failed assault operations. Russian forces are struggling to hold onto their remaining bridgehead here, but Ukrainian forces are yet to establish control over the village.

Meanwhile, some limited cross-river infiltrations have occurred, with Ukrainian soldiers entering the areas of Nevske, Yampolovka, and Ternoe in small numbers, primarily taking part in raiding actions, rather than trying to gain a solid foothold across the Zherebets River.

🇺🇦⚔️🇷🇺 Situation on the Krasny Lyman & Slavyansk directions, Donetsk Oblast: Over the last 10 days, Ukrainian forces continued their counteroffensive operations in the Krasny Lyman direction, which has facilitated the launching of additional counterattacks…
🇺🇦⚔️🇷🇺 Situation on the Slavyansk & Kramatorsk directions, Donetsk Oblast:

Over the last two weeks, Ukrainian forces continued their counterattacks east of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, making significant progress in multiple different areas.

In the north, following earlier Russian attempts at reversing Ukrainian advances east of Nikolaevka, Ukrainian forces once again regained control over the eastern approaches to Nikolaevka and recaptured most of the large forest north of Ray-Alexandrovka. They also managed to clear the forests between Piskunovka and Krivaya Luka from earlier Russian infiltrators and established control over the forests southeast of Piskunovka. Russian forces are attempting to clear the positions in northern Kryvaya Luka previously entered by Ukrainian soldiers who crossed the Seversky Donets River. Despite this, some isolated Russian DRG infiltrations into the vicinity of Nikolaevka continue.

To the southeast, Russian forces recaptured some positions in the treelines east of Ray-Alexandrovka previously infiltrated by Ukrainian soldiers, and expanded their zone of control in the eastern part of the town and in the treelines to the north. Fighting is now ongoing for the central streets of Ray-Alexandrovka, where a large grey-zone remains with each side holding mixed and overlapping positions.

To the southwest, Ukrainian forces cleared the large grey-zone between the villages of Vasilevskaya Pustoshy, Zapovidnoe (formerly knowns as Nikonorovka), Orekhovatka, and Yurkovka, before re-establishing control over Zapovidnoe and advancing further east to the Seversky-Donets Canal. Ukrainian infiltrators are now attempting to cross the canal along the highway towards Dibrova and Minkovka, while simultaneously trying to recapture Yurkovka where a grey-zone remains.

To the south, the Ukrainians cleared the large grey-zone in the fields near Pershomarovka and Vasyutinskoe, recapturing the latter, and re-entering the villages of Malinovka and Tikhonovka. At the same time, a larger scale operation is underway further south, where, after regaining control over the large grey-zone west of Novomarkovo, Ukrainian forces recaptured the strongpoints northwest of the village, which they are now using to accumulate and cross the Seversky-Donets Canal. After crossing this canal, Ukrainian forces are entering Minkovka and the adjacent strongpoints, where several footholds have been established, and are now attempting to advance further east. Some forward Ukrainian infiltrators even managed to carry out a deep infiltration for roughly 12 km northeast through Golubovka towards the outskirts of Nikiforovka. Meanwhile, Russian forces improved their positions slightly through the treelines northwest of Markovo and continued attacking in the area of Fyodorovka.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Situation on the Konstantinovka direction, Donetsk Oblast:

Over the last few weeks, heavy fighting has continued in the Konstantinovka, primarily on the flanks. The "stalemate" within the city itself has remained in place.

In the west, Ukrainian forces cleared the village of Nikolaypole and the surrounding fields from earlier Russian infiltrations and pushed south towards Dolgaya Balka, recapturing Rozkoshnoe and the northern part of Dolgaya Balka. Russian forces are now attempting to regain control over the northern part of Dolgaya Balka to resume infiltrations towards Nikolaypole.

To the east, Russian forces improved their positions in the treelines west of Konstantinovka, and continued their infiltrations into the Osikovo and Alexeyevo-Druzhkovka areas. In Konstantinovka itself, some residential blocks in the western suburbs were cleared, and low-intensity fighting continues for the large grey-zone in the northwestern districts. Taking advantage of this lack of Russian assault operations within Kostyantynivka, the Ukrainian command is attempting to bring infantry into the northern part of the city from the area of the railway line, and subsequently managed to expand the grey-zone towards the Old City.

Meanwhile, Russian forces continued deep infiltrations through the large grey-zone north of Konstantinovka and are attempting to enter the village of Kurtovka. Fighting continues for the village of Stenky and the nearby forests.

🇺🇸🇮🇱🇵🇸⚡️ — An investigation by The Telegraph has uncovered potential conflicts of interest involving members of the Board of Peace, the Trump-led organization responsible for overseeing Gaza's reconstruction and postwar governance.

Five board members have financial connections to Israeli defense manufacturer Smart Shooter, which recently secured a U.S. military contract worth up to $150 million. The company produces AI-assisted rifle sights, robotic weapon systems and armed drones that have been used by Israeli forces in Gaza.

Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, a leading figure on the board, runs Affinity Partners, an investment firm backed by billions of dollars from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE. The firm holds a 7.4% stake in Israel's Phoenix Financial, which invests in companies linked to the Israeli military, including Smart Shooter.

The investigation also identified business interests connected to Israeli settlement development in the occupied West Bank, a company facing U.S. litigation over allegations involving Hamas tunnels, a multibillion-dollar Trump golf resort project in Qatar, and a cybersecurity company linked to the creator of Pegasus spyware.

Officials involved in the initiative rejected the allegations of conflicts of interest.

🇾🇪⚔️🇸🇦 The Wall Street Journal reports Saudi king, Mohammed bin Salman al Saud (MBS) is changing palaces and bunkers every night to avoid assassination

The WSJ also reports that the Houthi missile campaign against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia may erase any GDP growth the country was forecasted to have this year and send it into recession

Not only did Ansarallah harm the KSA's oil industry by targeting its refineries, oil export terminals and more recently, its oil fields, the recent attacks on the Riyadh Airport are "jeopardizing Saudi efforts to build travel and tourism into a pillar of the economy".

The Future Investment Initiative, an investment summit hosted by the KSA each year is scheduled to take place in a few weeks with big U.S. CEOs like Larry Fink, Jamie Dimon and Ray Dalio invited to speak but its unlikely that they will show up in person due to the threats of missile attacks.

The costs of repairing infrastructure, funding for the KSA military and the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) are widening the KSA's budget deficit threatening the country's financial stability. This could cause ripple effects in the U.S. as the KSA is a major investor and financier of tech industry and artificial intelligence projects and MBS may be forced to cut back some of these investments to fund the war against the Houthis.

President Trump told reporters over the weekend that the U.S. was in communication with the Houthis but might join Saudi strikes on the militant group. “What they did was very bad,” the president said Saturday night.

Foreign investment fell in the first two quarters of the year and is running well behind the crown prince’s 2030 target. Rising defense and infrastructure costs threaten to siphon away money needed for the economic diversification drive. Even the kingdom’s push to become an AI hub now carries new risks, with data centers emerging as targets.

Many of the enormous projects spearheaded by Prince Mohammed are stalled or under review. In January, Saudi Arabia gave up on plans to host the 2029 Asian Winter Games. It still has to find a way to fund the World Expo in 2030 and the soccer World Cup four years later.

The non-oil side of the country’s economy was smaller in the second quarter than in the first, according to Capital Economics. The Saudi Finance Ministry now expects GDP to shrink by 3.6% in 2026.
