📢 🇵🇱 🇮🇱 Poland’s National Prosecutor’s Office has found that the Pegasus spyware system used by the country’s previous government was not fully under the control of Polish security agencies, potentially allowing its Israeli manufacturer, NSO Group, to access sensitive data collected from Polish citizens.
According to prosecutors, an analysis by Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) found that NSO Group could access infrastructure used to process and store operational data. Information transmitted through the system was also leaving Polish territory.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk called the findings a crime against the state and described the affair as one of the biggest scandals in Poland’s history since the fall of communism.
Tusk warned that sensitive information belonging to thousands, potentially tens of thousands, of Polish citizens could have been exposed to a foreign country without adequate control. He also claimed there was no doubt that Pegasus manufacturer NSO Group cooperated with Israeli security services.
Pegasus is a powerful surveillance tool capable of accessing mobile phones and extracting messages, browsing history and location data. Depending on the capabilities deployed, it can also access microphones and cameras.
The spyware was purchased under the previous Law and Justice (PiS) government, which has faced allegations that it was used to monitor political opponents, journalists and other public figures. The former administration denies wrongdoing, arguing that Pegasus was necessary for national security and used with court approval.
Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek said the system’s use endangered Poland’s national security. A parliamentary inquiry has also heard that judges who authorised surveillance were not fully informed about Pegasus’s capabilities.

Hackers reportedly gained control of the software that regulates the temperatures of the refrigeration units, forcing some to warm to 50C (120F) overnight.
Almost 100 of the chain's stores were targeted, while between 150 and 200 Intermarché supermarkets were affected, according to the AFP news agency.
Intermarché said its fridges had heated up to 50C for six hours overnight into Monday, and the retailer had thrown away all the affected food to avoid health risks, the Reuters news agency reported.
Prosecutors in Paris confirmed the cyber attack and indicated it had prompted fire outbreaks, according to AFP.
📝 Rushi: "We’ve connected so much of our physical world to the internet that apparently even keeping milk cold is now a cybersecurity problem."

Fridges in French supermarkets hit by cyber attack
Hundreds of stores were targeted by the overnight hack, which spoiled fresh and frozen food estimated to be worth millions of euros.
The incident occurred during Operation Hovedstad, held from September 14 to 18, when Norway’s Home Guard District 02 trained for security operations, including scenarios involving the defence of Oslo Airport during wartime.
The Armed Forces had rented the cars through Hertz Norway under a nationwide rental agreement signed in 2024, worth up to 350 million Norwegian kroner and running until May 2028. Hertz Norway’s ownership chain ultimately leads to China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, which also owns Volvo Cars. The agreement provides rental vehicles for exercises, operational activities and everyday military use.
During the exercise, soldiers discovered that the cars had recorded and stored video footage. Lieutenant Fredrik Blanck told Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv (DN) that the recordings showed who entered and exited the vehicles, where they travelled, whom they picked up and how long they remained at different locations.
More concerningly, the footage reportedly captured security codes entered by soldiers when opening military gates. Some access points require both a key card and a code, meaning the recordings could expose sensitive access procedures.
The vehicles remained in use throughout the exercise because alternative transport was in limited supply.

🇾🇪🇸🇦⚡- Ansarullah attack against Jeddah International Airport, western Saudi Arabia. Several aircraft are currently in holding positions.
The missile can be equipped with different rocket motors and seeker heads, allowing it to be tailored to various aerial threats and upgraded more easily.
Steelfin is compatible with multiple launch systems:
• M903A2 launcher of the Patriot air defense system;
• Mk 41 Vertical Launch System (VLS);
• Typhon Mid-Range Capability (MRC) missile system;
• Containerized launchers.
It can also be integrated with various command-and-control systems, including:
• Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS);
• Aegis Combat System;
• Other air and missile defense architectures.
Anduril plans to begin full-rate production of Steelfin in late 2028 or early 2029.
The U.S. military is seeking to reduce the cost of countering mass aerial threats. With the proliferation of inexpensive UAVs and cruise missiles, relying on costly PAC-3 MSE interceptors can quickly become economically unsustainable. Steelfin is intended to offer a more affordable interception option while remaining compatible with existing air defense infrastructure.
