Good afternoon CAE family! As you may have noticed, construction right in front of our main gates is finishing up and it is not possible to use that exit for cars. The authorities have assured us that it will be finished by tomorrow. When picking up your children today, entrance and exit will be using the gates in the back. This morning was a smooth transition, let’s all support eachother this afternoon as well. We will keep you posted if there is any new information.

Announcements for all CAE parents and guardians:
WATER
Please ensure you are sending your children to school with water bottles in their lunch boxes or bags. While we provide water here at CAE, your children need to bring in their own water containers to refill them throughout the day. We do not provide individual bottled waters or cups, so please make sure your children don’t come to school without one!
UNIFORMS
All sizes of the main uniforms are available in the store. If you have been waiting for any item stop by and pick them up. Keep in mind we are yet to receive T-shirts in larger sizes for PE uniforms. Please have your children wear white shirts if possible on their PE days so their clothes don’t distract other children. If for any reason your student doesn’t have a uniform make sure they attempt to wear decent clothing that looks like their uniforms. Disruptive garments will not be tolerated.

Attention CAE parents! As a reminder, due to upcoming assessments all after school activities are canceled. This will give students a chance to review and study before testing. Thank you all for your support.
This is an important reminder that you need to complete and submit your online assessments (posted on Google Classroom) for all your respective subjects, by the latest Monday December 13, 2021 at 12pm(noon) for grading and finalizing progress reports before the 16th of Dec.
Students that are currently abroad were invited to join Google Classroom (if they were not enrolled yet) and need to complete assignments and assessments on this platform.
Please make sure you complete and submit ALL your subject assessments as soon as possible, before the above mentioned deadline, as this may greatly affect your progress report for Term 1.

Cambridge Academy Ethiopia is pleased to announce that Dr. Gemechis Buba will join the Parent-Teacher Conference on December 15, 2021. This will give parents an extra chance to discuss and mingle with teachers as well as senior management. We look forward to an informative and celebratory conference. If you have not already indicated, please e-mail to RSVP your attendance for either the morning (0800 to 0930) which is for Year 8, or the afternoon (1415 to 1615) for Years 9 and 10. See you then!

As you know this Friday is the last day of school for this term, we are having CHRISTMAS PARTY, so can you please send children your child/n with some snacks like cake, cookies,candies,fruits, pizzas,soft drinks,juice, chips, use and throw plates and forks would be appreciated. Dismissal time will be1:30pm in the afternoon, students don't have to wear a uniform they can wear whatever they want(appropriate clothing).

We hope this has been a cheerful holiday season for all! While assessment results were expected to become available via an internal app, technical difficulties have delayed the process. Thank you for your patience and goodwill as we continue to develop our systems. Meanwhile we have begun dispersing reports via e-mail. Please keep an eye out on your registered e-mails as a full assessment report for your students becomes available starting Friday 12/31 going until Monday 1/3. Along with the full assessment, you will also receive instructions as a second attachment on how to understand the report. Make sure to check in your junk/spam folder in case of any misplaced e-mails.
We wish you all a very happy and peaceful new year and we all look forward to seeing you at school in 2022!

Thank you CAE parents for your support in helping us maintain good standards and discipline on our campus by keeping your students in their full uniform. Keep in mind there will be a phone call home daily if a student is not in proper clothing. We already see an improvement and are excited to be looking our best! There have been some updates to our afterschool activities. Zumba and Dance, which was originally placed on Monday’s is now going to be on THURSDAYS. Also, we have some cool additions to the activities. Modern United Nations and Current Affairs will now be offered on Mondays. On Tuesday’s we will have Italian Language and Mandarin Language instruction for both Primary and Secondary years. On Wednesday’s, there is a new Soccer slot for Year 1 and 2 boys and girls. Also, there is Science Club for Primary on Wednesdays.
PLEASE COME PICK UP A FORM FROM RECEPTION ONLY IF YOU WANT TO SWITCH YOUR ACTIVITIES TO ONE OF THESE NEW ONES. If you are happy with your current activity selection you do not need to do anything additional.
