We’re collecting Valentines to share some love with the migrant kids and young folks who are still incarcerated at Heartland Alliance’s detention centers in our neighborhood. If you’d like to help, please mail them to or drop them off at the PO Box Collective, c/o RPSN, 6900 N Glenwood Ave 60626.

Please keep in mind this is still a jail, so all mail will be inspected and possibly rejected. Keep any messages short and sweet, and avoid anything they might find controversial. We cannot send other items such as candy, gifts, or cash. Get them to us before the 13th so we can deliver them together.

We’ve heard that the Biden Administration may be sending more kids here from the border, in an attempt to soften the image of the immigrant detention system. Until everyone is free, we must oppose every cage — including those pretending to be shelters — and never stop showing our solidarity with those on the other side.

"As Peretti (before he became a media boss), echoing Deleuze and Guattari, suggested, capitalism breaks down all of our traditional and inborn codes, rules, morals and communities, so that we feel completely lost, and then sells us new ones that require state or corporate intervention. "
