GOOD MORNING, CHICAGO!!
Whether you’re voting, not voting, secretly voting, or secretly not voting, today will mark a change in tides: either resurgence or mass inoculation. Neither candidate is promising Black liberation, neither candidate is promising Abolition (of the carceral state and the many institutions governed by it), neither candidate is promising to renounce colonial authority over stolen land so that our Indigenous comrades can reclaim right relationship with it. Elected officials do not advocate for radical transformation— we do. We protect us. We care for us. We seek our future, for us.
So despite whichever bitter conclusion this Election Day comes to, I hope you’ll all be ready to mask up and hit the streets. Look out for one another and protect the vulnerable. Our fight isn’t dictated by institutional goal posts— this is revolution, all day everyday.
🖤 Stay radical, y’all. ✊🏾
