We have very vivid memories of World War II here in Poland.

We remember very well how Nazi propaganda tried to convince Europe and the world that it was Poland that was responsible for German aggression.

Today, we hear exactly the same from Moscow and, unfortunately, more and more often in some of our capitals.

Nobody wants escalation and war. We are all dreaming of peace.

The road to peace is not through weakness. It is through stopping the aggressor by all means available.

Russia wants to dominate Ukraine, and we know that it will not stop there. Russia wants to reshape the security architecture in Europe.

Let's call it what it is. Russia wants to destroy the existing security architecture in Europe so that Russian dominance can return to what it was before 1989.

We are preparing for various scenarios. We are investing heavily in our own defense.

It is difficult to be optimistic in these difficult times, but what gives me optimism is the determination and the level of preparation for various scenarios.

Ukraine will not be broken and will not be intimidated. Poland will not be broken and will not be intimidated.

Europe, NATO and the entire free world will not be broken. They will not be intimidated.

This message must come today from every capital, from Warsaw to Washington.

This is a genocide. An example of such genocide is Krynky. That is a place in Ukraine where the Russians prevent both children and adults from getting food.

We're not talking about famine there. We're talking about genocide.

A few weeks ago, I traveled through Ukraine. I drove through small Ukrainian towns and villages. In every single village along that road, there was a board displaying photographs of young men from that village who had died in the war.

For six hours, I passed through these villages, seeing evidence of the cruelty of this war. Every one of these local heroes had a mother and father. Some had children. They died in a war they did not want.

As an alliance, we should remember we have some substantial capabilities that neither Russia nor Ukraine had.

The example I always like to put out are F-35s. With F-35s, you can gain air superiority over the battlefield.

We're ready to respond very quickly.

What I would hope to do is we'd see it coming and prevent it from happening to begin with.

A new poll shows France’s far-right leader Marine Le Pen and hard-left leader Jean-Luc Melenchon pulling ahead of other candidates ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Le Pen leads the first round with 35–37% support, while Melenchon reaches the run-off in all five scenarios tested.

Le Pen is projected to defeat Melenchon comfortably in the second round.
