NEW: North Korea test-fired two types of submarine-launched cruise missiles from a submerged submarine in the Sea of Japan, marking the first weapons test from its largest sub.

The test used the Hero Kim Kun Ok — a modified Romeo-class diesel sub with ~10 vertical launch tubes, commissioned in 2023 but untested until now.

One missile was fired from a vertical launch system, the other from a torpedo tube.

South Korea’s military said it tracked both launches from start to finish.

Netanyahu and Smotrich plan to deploy 2,000 observers at Arab polling stations in the 2026 elections, citing alleged voter fraud in previous elections.

However, Israel’s Central Elections Committee dismissed similar Likud claims as baseless, warning that sending police to Arab polling stations could spark unrest.

BIG: Syrian General Intelligence has arrested Ali Kayali, also known as Mihrac Ural, the main suspect in the May 2013 Baniyas and al-Bayda massacres, as he tried to flee across the border.

The Turkish-born leader of the pro-Assad militia Syrian Resistance is accused of overseeing the killings on the Syrian coast, where at least 458 civilians, including about 92 children, were executed.

Türkiye has long wanted him over the 2013 Reyhanlı bombings, which killed about 52 people.

The arrest follows the capture of his deputy, Jamal Traboulsi, earlier this month, as Syria’s new authorities pursue former regime militia figures accused of war crimes.
