Hegseth to troops:

You're actually in the peacemaking business.

If there's one entity that should win the Nobel Peace Prize every single year, it actually should be the United States military.

Hegseth:

For a while we sat there and thought, "Okay, maybe we're going to get perpetual peace all around the world and everybody's going to get along."

I can guarantee you, evil still exists.

Hegseth:

The reason we get to play football games like this one today, is because we are stronger than any other nation in the world.

We are absolutely prepared to attack Iran with full force.

And this time, all energy targets will be included.

Energy targets are critical to setting Iran back 40 years, to the age of darkness and stone.

We will strike all these targets with tremendous force.

The achievements are dramatic.

In Gaza, we have achieved our objectives. Seventy to eighty percent of Gaza is destroyed.

The same is true in southern Lebanon.

35,000 bombs, I repeat, were dropped on Iran by Israel and the United States.

We dropped most of them, by the way.

You have to understand what that means. We simply destroyed things there.

Look at what is happening in Lebanon.

Today, more than 60 villages in southern Lebanon, beginning with those adjacent to the border, and beyond that, throughout the entire security zone up to the Yellow Line, an area of 700 square kilometers, are destroyed.

All the villages have been wiped out. Twenty-three thousand houses, all destroyed, demolished.

I am not even talking about what is underground, about the tunnels. Everything has been destroyed.

There are no residents there. Two hundred thousand residents are outside.

This is the Gaza model. And this is the model we are implementing.

If there is a Palestinian city from which terrorism originates, we will evacuate the residents and deal with it as we did in Gaza.

Then it will become a war of decisive defeat, and the entire reality there will change.

The entire world salutes us.

The entire world respects us.

Countries in the region, whether they say so openly or not, want to be close to Israel.

They appreciate our determination. They appreciate the results.

If we have a clear assessment that the Palestinian security forces are about to turn their weapons against us, we will act.

And if they turn their weapons against us, we will respond.

Two years ago, I took an old plan and changed it from a war against an intifada into a war to defeat the enemy.

We already have a plan prepared.

A war plan involving targeted killings, deportations and more.

Not just the destruction of terrorist infrastructure.

Once the Iranian regime is defeated, the entire region will move toward overt relations.

Israel will be at the center of this.

Violent anti-government protests rocked Albania’s capital, Tirana, for a fifth consecutive day on Saturday, as demonstrators hurled rocks, petrol bombs and fireworks at police, who responded with tear gas and water cannon.

Protesters are demanding Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation over corruption allegations, with many calling for an end to the entire political establishment.

Hundreds have been arrested or investigated, and dozens injured.

Rama, who has ruled for 13 years, blamed the unrest on the opposition and unnamed foreign actors seeking to derail Albania’s EU ambitions.

Meanwhile, corruption investigations involving senior officials and his associates are increasing pressure on his government.

French police clashed with protesters and rioters across France on Saturday as around 550,000 people joined nationwide protests, including 110,000 in Paris.

Marco Rubio:

Starlink is a commercial product. It's regulated and handled as a commercial product.

Starshield is a defense product, a military product. That is something that the United States military uses.

It's not at this moment available to Ukraine, and that's under discussion right now, how they would want to use it.

Q: Did the U.S. have anything to do with Starlink not working in Ukraine at the moment? Zelensky said it was deliberate.

Rubio: I don't know what Zelensky said. I'm not sure Zelensky knows what he's talking about, but it wasn't deliberate.

We had nothing to do with it. Nobody ordered Starlink's speed to be slowed down.

It sort of happened. But my understanding is it's been restored. It's back to where it was before.

Marco Rubio:

I know Ukraine wants access to Starshield. They do not have Starshield now.

They've asked for access to it in order to conduct deep strikes inside of Russia.

Marco Rubio on Ukraine:

No one at the White House ordered anyone to slow down internet or slow down speed so that certain drones couldn't use it.

But my understanding is it's back up and running.

Q: On the sanctions waivers on Russia, Senator Ted Cruz today called it a big mistake that only serves to benefit Putin. I'm wondering what your response is to that.

Rubio: The problem is these sanctions were not just sanctions on Russia. They include tariffs on a number of countries, India, for example, and others.

And so I think the president wants to take the 60-day period of time to sort of analyze what imposing both sanctions and tariffs will mean to the global economy and even to the U.S. economy.

I think when the bill was passed, one of the reasons the waivers were put in there was the understanding that they would need some period of time to study this, given all the different things that are going on in the world right now.
