Ukraine will never be able to win the war.

My objective is to ensure Ukraine survives and to bring the war to an end.

Because when someone in Italy said, "Ukraine will win the war," some people thought that Ukraine wanted to defeat Russia.

No. That Zelensky would practically enter Moscow with the Ukrainian flag. No, no.

For Ukraine, victory means that Russia leaves, stops dropping bombs, and Ukraine once again becomes a country free to live and free to have a future.

That is the victory for Ukraine that we would all like.

Q: The war in Iran has gone on much longer than I think a lot of people expected. I have really just one big question on Iran: Why haven't we won decisively?

JD Vance: In some ways, we have won decisively, but the Iranians — you know, the enemy gets a vote here, and they have responded in certain ways.

Gas prices are too high. They would be three times as high if it weren't for the United States Navy keeping oil and gas moving out of the Strait of Hormuz.

If we just give up and we walk away and say, "Oh, we destroyed their nuclear program. Who cares?" energy prices are going to go way up.

JD Vance on Iran:

There were issues with where troops were located that we realized was a huge mistake and that we could do better on, and we have changed that.

Now, I'm not going to get into the details because, God forbid, I don't want the Iranians to learn something else that they're going to use to target somebody else's wife or somebody else's mother.

JD Vance on Iran:

I see what Abdul El-Sayed says about the war in Iran. I see him criticizing decisions that the president has made, the military has made.

But fundamentally, we are where we are.

JD Vance:

If we just left and we let the Iranians control shipping out of the Strait of Hormuz, what that would mean is you would pay a lot more for gasoline.

JD Vance:

Do I see evidence of corruption from the president of the United States, from the administration? No, Tony.

I just don't.

Q: Will you publicly confront influential people like Tucker Carlson in your own coalition who continue to spread antisemitic rhetoric that has put a target on my children's back?

JD Vance: I condemn antisemitism. I condemn Jew hatred. I condemn anybody who would judge another human being based on who their mother or father were, what their ethnicity was, what their religion is.

And I think that leadership, that fundamental leadership principle, has to start there, that we can condemn this unequivocally.

JD Vance:

And I'm telling you that while, yes, DC is a corrupt town, Donald Trump, I have not seen a single shred of evidence that he participates in that corruption.

You can make all kinds of criticisms of our policies and decisions, but I've not once seen evidence that Donald Trump has enriched himself.

JD Vance: The biggest reason why gas prices are so high is because when Joe Biden was president, we had about 20% of American refining capacity that went offline.

Reporter: It's almost been two years. At a certain point, it becomes your economy, not Joe Biden's economy.

JD Vance:

When you demonize a guy because he's white, it's just as evil as when you demonize a guy because he's black.

Most of the white guys who hear somebody say, "You have white privilege, so we can ignore what you're saying," or use "white man" as an insult as opposed to just a descriptor, most people are going to get a little annoyed. They're going to go on living their lives.

But some people will get radicalized into some very dangerous ideas.

We can reject the reaction, but we also have to understand it is inevitable when you demonize people that they respond in nonproductive ways.

Spain: Clashes broke out in Pamplona as counter-protesters confronted a rally by Spanish right-wing activist Vito Quiles, the first stop of his tour ahead of the November 29 general elections.

Quiles spoke for about 10 minutes to roughly 50–100 supporters under heavy police protection, declaring that Navarra is “more Spanish than ever.”

Hundreds of leftist and Basque nationalist protesters marched against the event, and some threw stones and bottles at police, burned trash containers and set up barricades.

Police responded with charges and foam projectiles, arrested three people, including a 16-year-old, and reported four officers lightly injured.
