Qatar's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Al Hashmi:

Despair is unacceptable. As mediators, we cannot reach a point where we believe that a military solution is the only possibility.

We must keep in mind that a peaceful solution at the negotiating table is possible.

It is the only solution that can preserve the region and its stability, and we must work toward achieving it with every possible effort.

The Mecca Pact could eventually lead to a joint Turkish-Pakistani military base in Saudi Arabia.

The Houthis’ drone & missile capabilities have gone beyond what Iran provided - suggesting possible outside support.

For peace in Yemen, the Houthis must stop destroying local infrastructure, taxing the poor population & fragmenting Yemeni politics.

Türkiye, Saudi, Pakistan & others are working to build a regional security framework that originates from within the region.

Germany's Chancellor Merz:

Sovereignty means becoming independent from other continents in the world.

This continent, the European continent, is strong enough to create its own sovereignty.

Emmanuel Macron was right already in 2017 when he gave his first speech at the Sorbonne University in Paris.

Creating European sovereignty is key, and Germany is a part of it, and I dare to say the biggest part of that.

Because we are the biggest economy in Europe. We have to go the way fast.

Democrats are preparing to investigate Elon Musk if they win control of the House in November.

Potential probes would focus on his DOGE leadership, federal job cuts, alleged data breaches, government contracts, and Starlink’s role in Ukraine.

Musk has donated more than $276 million to Republicans, giving him a major stake in the midterm elections.

We are lagging behind in the pharmaceutical industry for decades now, and Germany once was named the pharmacy of the world.

This is long ago, and so that’s the reason why we are also happy that the pharmaceutical industry is coming back to Germany.

Iran's FM Spox. Esmail Baghaei:

Do you actually believe the Americans could tell Iran, "We will strike you, and you must remain silent," and that we would simply accept it?

The era of hit-and-run attacks is over.

Over the past two years we have demonstrated in practice that we will leave absolutely no attack unanswered.

If our response is not stronger, they will certainly receive a blow of equal magnitude.

Iran's FM Spox. Esmail Baghaei on Russia and China:

Iran’s relations with Russia and China are based on mutual interests.

We are not naive. We know that every country has its own interests.

At the same time, we have defined our mutual interests with both Russia and China.

Regardless of the rhetoric of others, we are determined to continue advancing our relations, God willing.

Iran has lost enormously in the last 2 years. Instability, death of Khamenei, damaged Gulf relations... Only Houthis remain.

But the Houthis consistently reject the proxy label. Their elites have stated they are a Yemeni group - not Iran's extension.

But Iran wants to use the Houthis as a deterrence asset. That contradiction is the source of the friction between them.

Iran’s FM Spox. Esmaeil Baghaei on Possible Egyptian Military Support for Saudi Arabia:

Security and stability in the Arabian Peninsula are important to us and to all countries in the region.

However, we do not believe that any further intervention would benefit regional peace and security.

We believe it would only make the situation more complicated.

The Yemen issue must be resolved through dialogue and on the basis of the roadmap agreed upon several years ago.

Further intervention by Islamic countries would not improve the situation. On the contrary, it would certainly make matters more difficult.

Both Turkish & Pakistani politicians are deeply uncomfortable with the insecurity Israel is generating across the region.

And building an alternative security architecture requires partners who share the same regional mentality.

Türkiye, Pakistan & Saudi Arabia are constructing a shared security understanding designed to act beyond Israeli-dictated politics.

NEW: Qatar and Pakistan have presented a compromise proposal to revive U.S.-Iran talks. Under the plan, Iran would receive profits from its $6 billion in frozen funds held in Qatari banks.

In return, Iran would allow a secret IAEA visit to its nuclear sites.

Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir reportedly carried the proposal to Tehran on Tuesday.

Sources say it has U.S. approval. Iran had reportedly responded positively to it earlier.

Only the interest on the frozen assets would be deposited into an Iranian account, not the principal.

The unannounced inspection would address a key U.S. demand on the nuclear file.

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu accuses the ultra-left of planning “deep unrest” in France until the 2027 presidential election.

He cited intelligence briefings received by the government.

He told the National Assembly that far-left groups had planned “an insurrectional scheme” in some places during the 17 October violence.

If you remember back to 2003, David Petraeus, talking to a Washington Post journalist: "How does this war end with Iraq?"

Same question. In a sense, it’s the same answer.

The answer to that question about Iraq was: it doesn’t. And the answer to how does the war with Iran end is: it doesn’t.
