But regarding Russia taking the place of the Soviet Union, there was no vote.

Syria's Interior Ministry graduated its first all-women police class, about 150 officers from the new Women's Police Institute in al-Tal, after six months of training.

The ceremony included drill, weapons demos, and an oath, attended by senior ministers and diplomats.

Over 15,000 women had applied.

Graduates will deploy across ministry units nationwide for community policing, women's cases, and other roles.

Any attempts to violate our sovereignty will be stopped.

Golan will remain Syrian territory.

Any other attempts will be thwarted according to Security Council resolutions.

There have been 500 airstrikes, more than 1,200 incursions, and 300 detentions.

This is at odds with the orientation we're seeing at the global level. It is reminiscent of an era that we thought was gone.

Mexican drug cartels are rapidly expanding their use of advanced drones, raising concerns among U.S. officials that fighters returning from the Russia-Ukraine war could transfer battlefield drone skills to criminal groups.

Officials say cartels are studying drone warfare techniques, including ways to bypass jamming systems, while acquiring larger drones capable of carrying more explosives. Some Colombian fighters with Ukraine battlefield experience are reportedly being recruited to train cartel drone operators.

Mexican intelligence has warned that some cartels already possess large drones capable of carrying heavy payloads, while armed groups in Colombia have also increased their use of weaponized drones.

U.S. and Mexican authorities say counter-drone capabilities are struggling to keep pace with the threat as cartels continue adapting their tactics.
