JD Vance said Iran must make a “meaningful” reduction in its nuclear enrichment capacity to end the seven-month war, arguing that Tehran cannot claim it does not want a nuclear weapon while enriching uranium to 60%.

Vance said the U.S. is negotiating with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, but Washington is unsure how much authority they hold or who ultimately makes decisions in Tehran.

He said the U.S. remains open to a deal but wants concrete nuclear concessions, declaring: “We’re not going to trade words for actions.”

Armed Israeli settlers beat AFP photographer Jaafar Ashtiyeh, 58, while he was covering violence against Palestinian olive farmers near Aqraba in the West Bank.

Ashtiyeh suffered head and torso injuries and was hospitalized, while another Palestinian was shot in the foot.

AFP said Israeli soldiers were nearby but did not intervene.

Saudi Aramco is considering how to use a growing gas surplus from its $100 billion Jafurah field, including possible exports and new financing options.

Saudi gas production is expected to rise about 80% by 2030, potentially creating a large surplus.

Aramco is considering LNG exports or eventually listing its gas business to help fund Saudi Arabia’s wider economic plans.
