New York prosecutors are expected to bring new charges against Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, over the alleged torture of Americans held in Venezuelan custody.

The charges could be announced as soon as Thursday and relate to the alleged wrongful detention of more than a dozen U.S. citizens.

Eritrean troops spotted driving through the Ethiopian town of Adigrat, 25 km from the border, per Reuters citing witnesses and ACLED.

This is the first confirmed presence of Eritrean soldiers on Ethiopian soil since the current conflict began September 23.

ACLED says they crossed at Zelambesa and Ethiopian military drone-struck their vehicles at Guada.

Eritrea denies it, calling the reports fabricated to justify Ethiopian aggression.

Ethiopia and Eritrea severed diplomatic ties last week.

The US urged both sides to exercise restraint, warning conflict would jeopardize US cooperation with both countries.

U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle reportedly pressured Trump donor Eric Deters to pay her $100,000 American Express bill shortly before her July 2025 Senate confirmation hearing, suggesting he wire the money directly to avoid leaving a paper trail.

Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.’s former fiancée, allegedly offered to use her connections to help Deters with IRS and Justice Department matters and secure a Tucker Carlson interview, for which he had promised up to $1 million.

Messages show Guilfoyle repeatedly warned Deters against documenting their financial arrangements, saying he could cost her the ambassadorship.

Deters, who had previously paid Guilfoyle $300,000 in speaking fees, refused to pay the credit card bill and said she had delivered none of the favors he sought.

Guilfoyle’s lawyer disputed the authenticity of the messages and maintained that she was owed money for previous speaking engagements.

Syria officially denies reports of sending troops to Yemen.

Presidential media adviser Ahmed Muwaffaq Zeidan called the reports "lies with no truth" while affirming Syria stands with Saudi Arabia's security.

Syria's Information Ministry issued a separate statement saying Damascus's priority is "rebuilding the country and its institutions," not "opening new fronts."

This directly contradicts today's Axios and Reuters reports saying Damascus was seriously considering Saudi Arabia's request to deploy 10,000-20,000 troops.

The official statement says any military cooperation happens "only through official channels and existing bilateral frameworks."

No Saudi confirmation or denial of the request has been issued.
