Ukrainian drones struck a Yandex data center in Sasovo, Russia’s Ryazan Oblast, and the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery in Bashkortostan overnight, sparking fires.

In Sasovo, the attack damaged one of Yandex’s largest data centers, causing power outages and widespread disruptions to its cloud services.

The strike followed a series of Russian attacks on Ukrainian data centers.

A fire also broke out at the Sasta machine-tool plant, which shares the site with the data center and supplies Russia’s defense industry.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said 20 British diplomats and the Consul General would leave the UK consulate in occupied East Jerusalem, with only seven staff allowed to remain.

The move follows Israel’s decision to shut the consulate over UK sanctions on Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband insisted the consulate would remain open as a “UK Mission,” saying some staff had been temporarily withdrawn for security reasons.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi:

In May, the Congressional Research Service admitted that Iran’s Armed Forces had taken out 42 U.S. military aircraft. Now: 81.

Real toll is far higher. Proof? CENTCOM won’t let a sitting Senator inspect bases it claims are fine.

You can fool all the people some of the time...

Top U.S. and Russian officials, including Jared Kushner and Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev, have discussed bringing U.S. investors into the Nord Stream pipelines to potentially resume Russian gas exports to Germany after the Ukraine war.

The proposal could allow U.S. investors to profit from Russian gas sales to Europe, but faces major obstacles.

A White House official denied recent discussions, while another U.S. official said a deal was unlikely in the medium term.

Kushner and Dmitriev also discussed selling Lukoil’s international assets to U.S., Qatari and UAE investors.

A Chinese maritime militia boat was spotted off Taiwan’s east coast in August for the first known time, operating near a Chinese coast guard ship and a research vessel.

The vessels were detected more than 30 nautical miles off Taiwan’s coast, in an area critical for potential wartime supply routes.

Taiwanese officials said the militia boat was participating in coordinated Chinese maritime harassment drills, accusing Beijing of preparing for a possible blockade of the island.

Writing in The Telegraph, military analyst Hamish de Bretton-Gordon argues that Putin has brought back General Sergei Surovikin, known as “General Armageddon,” to intensify attacks on Kyiv as Russian forces struggle in the Donbas.

He warns that Russia could target Kyiv’s seven bridges across the Dnipro, potentially splitting the capital and disrupting transport across northern Ukraine.

With Russian casualties mounting and recruitment becoming increasingly difficult, Putin is seeking to break Ukrainian civilian morale through sustained attacks on infrastructure this winter.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Greek newspaper Kathimerini that Washington would never allow a conflict between Greece and Türkiye, calling such a scenario “unthinkable.”

Rubio stressed that both countries are NATO allies and that a conflict would benefit neither country nor the U.S.

He said he did not believe such a confrontation would occur and emphasized Washington’s preference for resolving tensions through private diplomacy.

Marco Rubio told Greek newspaper Kathimerini that Trump wants Türkiye to receive the F-35 fighter jets it has already paid for, but U.S. law prohibits their transfer until the dispute over Ankara’s Russian-made S-400 air defense systems is resolved.

Rubio said Türkiye was aware of the legal restrictions and was exploring possible solutions, but stressed that the issue remains unresolved and the transfer is currently prohibited.

📸 Gold-leaf nude statue of Trump titled "The King of Injustice" is on display inside the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Danish sculptor Jens Galschiøt's piece shows Trump sitting on a smaller man's shoulders holding a golf club and scales of justice.

Plaque reads:

I am sitting on the back of a man. He is sinking under my burden. I will do anything to help him. Except step down from his back.

The sculptor said "dictators don't like you laughing at them" and that the nakedness references The Emperor's New Clothes.

Hosted by a Danish MEP, approved by Parliament quaestors as a cultural exhibition.

Same statue previously appeared at COP30 and the Munich Security Conference.

Trump hasn't commented.
