The U.S. is experiencing its worst measles outbreak year since 1991, with major outbreaks in Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Utah.

Cases have surged in waves throughout 2026, spreading across nearly the entire country.

Only five states have reported no cases.

A Washington lobbying firm representing Bosnia’s pro-Russian Republika Srpska employs Katie Wiles, the daughter of Trump’s White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, as a partner.

Katie Wiles visited the region in August and was photographed holding a rifle alongside Republika Srpska’s interior minister, Željko Budimir.

The firm, Continental Strategy, registered to lobby for Republika Srpska in early 2026 but said Wiles visited on behalf of another client and had not discussed Republika Srpska with U.S. officials.

NEW: Israeli military chief Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir warned senior U.S. officials on Tuesday that resuming the war with Iran within three weeks could force Israel to postpone its October 27 elections.

Zamir raised concerns that Iran would retaliate with missile strikes against Israel. The warning came after U.S. officials briefed him on preparations for renewed military operations against Iran.

Trump has since ruled out U.S. strikes on Iran before the November 3 midterm elections.

Germany has decided to withdraw from the Franco-German MGCS future tank project, French Chief of Defense Staff General Fabien Mandon announced.

Launched in 2017, the project aimed to replace France’s Leclerc and Germany’s Leopard 2 tanks by around 2045 but faced years of industrial disputes, funding disagreements and delays.

The announcement comes just four months after the collapse of the Franco-German-Spanish FCAS future fighter jet project.

The Israeli military announced the death of Capt. Eliav Haim Tzapalamus, 21, from Haifa, a combat officer in the 603rd Battalion of the 7th Brigade.

Tzapalamus was killed when the Humvee he was traveling in overturned in southern Lebanon.

Three other Israeli soldiers sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met Putin in Turkmenistan.

The two leaders discussed strengthening economic and strategic cooperation in energy, agriculture, transportation and trade, and agreed to accelerate joint projects.
