NEW: The State Department’s inspector general is investigating U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle and the embassy she leads.

The probe comes after longtime Trump donor Eric Deters accused Guilfoyle of requesting $100,000 to pay her American Express bill before her 2025 confirmation hearing, allegedly in exchange for access to senior Trump administration officials.

Deters provided messages appearing to show Guilfoyle instructing him to wire the money directly to American Express so it “won’t show up anywhere.” He said he never paid.

A senior diplomatic official described the investigation as rare and said it had alarmed State Department officials.

Zelensky to Axios:

What did Trump get? That he will have more diesel? For whom? More Russian diesel for Americans? It shows weakness of the world.

Trump:

Please pretend I’m on the freaking ballot, will you?

Trump:

Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrats created the affordability situation. Donald J. Trump and congressional Republicans, we are fixing it.

Trump:

The planet started cooling. The icebergs are bigger than ever.

Trump:

China makes the windmills, but try finding a wind farm in China. There’s no such thing.

Trump to a protester:

His mother just called him, “Get out of there, son, you stupid guy!”

His mom is calling. His mom is a big Trump voter. He doesn’t know.

Trump:

Refiners and retailers need to start dropping their prices right now. We’re getting them so much oil.

Trump thanks Putin:

Russia agreed to send us millions and millions of barrels of oil, and it’s diesel. That’s what we really need.

So thank you!

Trump:

More oil is coming through the Strait today than it was before the war.

Do you believe that one?

Trump:

I'm a very high-IQ individual.

A large fire broke out at the Novoshakhtinsk oil terminal in Russia’s Rostov region following Ukrainian drone attacks, hours after the phone call between Trump and Putin.

Trump mocks Macron again, recounting how he forced the French president to raise drug prices in France by threatening to impose tariffs.

Kamala Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, has privately told people he would prefer she not run for president again, while some major Democratic donors have warned her that a 2028 bid would be a longshot.

Harris has not decided whether to run but has been laying the groundwork by meeting donors, hiring political staff and campaigning for Democrats ahead of the November midterms.

Many Democrats, including some close to Harris, believe the party needs a fresh candidate after her 2024 defeat to Trump.

They gave the Nobel Peace Prize to a person I've never heard of. Nobody ever heard of the person. It's a mystery person.

Trump:

I settled eight wars, and I’m about to settle or win two more: Iran and Russia-Ukraine.

Trump on Iran:

Iran will either give us everything, or they don’t exist any longer. They know that.

Trump:

Ethiopia built a dam. The Nile River has no water in it.

Trump:

Putin said he tried to settle Azerbaijan-Armenia for 10 years, but he couldn’t do it. I got it done in two days.

Trump:

Based on my record of peace, a record like no one has ever had. And I’m not saying this to brag. I’m just saying how crooked the whole Nobel Prize deal is.
