Bosnia’s Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković warned U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio that Republika Srpska, the pro-Russia Serb-majority entity, was spending millions on Trump-linked lobbyists and consultants to gain political influence in Washington.

The warning followed reports that Trump aides Chris LaCivita and James Blair received hundreds of thousands of dollars for campaign advice.

Konaković also urged the U.S. to consider reimposing sanctions on former Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, a close Putin ally whose sanctions were lifted last year.

Young girls in Azerbaijan are being turned away from school for wearing hijab, and they’re fighting back.

On September 21, Azerbaijan’s Cabinet amended school uniform rules to bar clothing conflicting with the “principle of secularism” in education, effectively targeting the hijab without naming it.

Since early October, schools have been turning away hijab-wearing students and teachers from classrooms.

One young girl’s plea:

I am a child. I want to study! I have that right too — but they are not letting me study!

A teacher was filmed holding back tears while comforting a student forced to choose between her faith and her education:

You have to take it off as though you are guilty? Don’t cry. We are with you. Everything will be alright.

Students who don’t wear hijab have joined the protests in solidarity.

“Nobody accepts it,” one said.

Teachers held lessons outdoors rather than enforce the ban, and defiant students declared:

If they throw us out through the door, we will come back through the window.

Police have arrested 37 people, and Instagram and TikTok have been disrupted as the protests spread across the country.
