U.S. defense officials warn that Guam would be a primary target of Chinese missile strikes if Beijing invades Taiwan, according to intelligence assessments cited by the Washington Times.

Key military assets—airfields, ports, bombers, and drones—would be hit early in a PLA assault.

During a visit to Guam, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the island’s missile defense setup could serve as a model for Trump’s Golden Dome initiative.

“We’re going to learn a lot from Guam and apply it to CONUS.”

Guam hosts 6,400 U.S. military personnel. The Pentagon is investing $7.3 billion in defense infrastructure there through 2028.

1. A moderate Sunni bloc with Egypt, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia under White House mediation
2. The existing alliance with Greece and Cyprus.

But ultimately, we must identify shared interests with Türkiye and shift from confrontation to cooperation.
