NOW: 24 x U.S. military tanker aircraft airborne.

This is VERY much unusual.

Note that the United States Air Force operates approximately 606 tanker aircraft, making it the largest aerial refueling fleet in the world by a wide margin.

The U.S. is taking part in the 2025 Atlantic Trident exercise (June 16–27) via USAFE-AFAFRICA, deploying F-35As, F-15Es, and KC-135s likely to Finland.

But this number of tankers is still unusual may be linked to something else.
