Qatar's PM:
It came out actually in the Israeli media a couple of weeks ago that there was a campaign thatโs been set by the Israeli government against Qatar officially.
And you have seen throughout the last two years of the war in Gaza, every effort that Qatar was trying to put to mediate to end this war was always undermined by Netanyahu and his extremists.

Qatar's PM on October 7:
There is no question about October 7 was a massacre and should be condemned, and whoever is responsible for this should be held accountable.
But when we look at the response to October 7, more than 70,000 people being killed, a whole city being wiped out, hospitals being targeted, schools being targeted โ whatever the justifications and the arguments, nothing is justifying this.

Piers Morgan: Itโs been reported that youโve lost $24 billion worth in gas sales since the war began because of the reliance on the Strait of Hormuz to get your liquefied natural gas out to the rest of the world.
Qatari PM: Well, actually, many of those numbers have been accurate and we reported them as a government.
The International Monetary Fund expects Qatarโs economy to contract by more than 8% this year.
International visitor numbers fell around 80% from March 2025 to March 2026, and Qatar hotels have reportedly been about 60% empty since the war began. None of that is surprising to me. First, is that accurate?
Qatari PM: Well, actually, many of those numbers have been accurate and we reported them as a government.
We have a very firm and clear decision by His Highness since day one of the war that we should be transparent with our partners, with other countries, with the international community.
Anything that hit or damaged our economy should be reported, whether itโs the LNG facility when it was targeted by the Iranian missile, the exports that unfortunately got stopped because of the closure of the strait, or the deficit that we are seeing in our budget.

Germany intends to block Chinese state-owned Cosco from acquiring an 80% stake in Hamburg logistics firm Zippel over national security concerns.
A government memo reportedly warned the deal could create strategic dependencies that China could use as political leverage. Germanyโs Economy Ministry is reviewing the transaction, including concerns over Zippelโs software systems and sensitive data.
Germanyโs antitrust authority had already cleared the deal in February, saying national security was outside its remit.

Bill Gates on AI:
AI has crossed the threshold that its ability to empower a bioterrorist to kill hundreds of millions exists today.
The ability to do a cyberattack that scrambles all the bank accounts, shuts down the electric grid โ that exists today. And we know thatโs the case.
And the reason that exists is because somebody with ill intent can take the AI and cause it to do those things.

Bill Gates on AI:
Itโs fair to say that outside of the industry, the awareness of the dangers of AI is extremely low. And you can say that of academia, you can say that of think tanks, you can say that of policymakers, politicians.
And part of the reason that Iโm speaking so loudly, as loud as I can, is that you canโt rely on the industry to self-regulate here. I mean, itโs just insane.
The only question in my mind is: do we wait until a cyberattack causes massive damage and a bioattack causes massive damage, and then the monitoring safeguards are required in these models to minimize the chance of that happening many, many more times?
Or can we be wise enough to put these things in and require these things to be put in before millions of deaths?
