🖥 Using Cortana in Windows 10
Cortana is finally here in Windows 10, taking control of the search functions as well as dishing out as much sass of the operating system in the same way with Windows Phone edition. On the other hand, by default, it will never listen and follow your commands.
If you would like to have the ability to simply bark commands at your personal computer, you launch Cortana through hitting the search field within the taskbar and then choose the Notebook icon in the left side choices pane. You choose “settings” from the list and have the “Let Cortana respond when you say ‘Hey Cortana’” choice. You will have an active and working microphone for it to work.
While you are poking around the Cortana’s options, you may dive in the Notebook menu so you can fine-tune exactly what data the digital assistant of Microsoft can open. On the other hand, you should bear in mind that like Google, the effectiveness of Cortana is related directly to how much it knows regarding you.

💡Additional Apps you should try
The current Windows 10’s preview comes with some interesting apps like the new Xbox app, Insider Hub, Project Spartan web browser, a lot more. Though they are good apps to use when you want to get started in using Windows 10, Microsoft is likewise making available the preview of touch-friendly editions of Microsoft Word, Excel as well as the PowerPoint. All of these are known to be universal apps and that means similar code is running on the phones, PCs and tablets. On the other hand, Microsoft did not release similar apps that are optimized for tablets and phones as of now. These apps don’t come with Windows 10 yet you may download the new apps through the Store. Microsoft will also the Video Preview applications. These apps are designed to replace the present Video and Music apps in Windows 8.1. These two will be introducing a brand new look which complements the design that Microsoft tries to implement across different apps all over the OS.

🗞Samsung’s Android 13 and One UI 5.0 public beta test could begin by July!
Android 13 developer previews from Google went live nearly a couple of months ago, but Samsung has yet to release any preview builds based on the upcoming update. However, we’re hearing that the Korean tech giant is getting ready to begin open beta testing Android 13 and One UI 5.0 within the next three-to-four months.
Our sources tell us that Samsung could start the open beta testing phase for Android 13 and the accompanying One UI 5.0 update by July. This should give beta testers and the company plenty of time to polish the new firmware for public release at the end of 2022 or early 2023 — if recent history is any indication.
vidently, plans can change, and the tentative July timeframe for the open beta could change as well, for better or worse. But for now, we’re hearing that Samsung is aiming to enter the testing stages for Android 13 and One UI 5.0 around midsummer.

🗞Samsung stops producing DDR3 memory; Price increase awaits the market
As the electronic devices of today keep getting more technologically advanced year by year, as consumers, we demand more memory and faster speeds for smoother operations across a wide variety of applications. DRAM memory has become an essential electronic component in keeping our devices running smoothly and fast, and there are a lot of RAM options in the market from the latest DDR5 memory to the cheapest DDR3 memory.
However, DDR3 seems to be showing its age in the market, as the technology initially launched in 2007 turns 15 years old today in 2022. With that context in mind, several of the world’s largest DRAM suppliers such as Samsung and SK Hynix have come out to announce that the industry is looking to discontinue the production of DDR3 due to dwindling market demands, and higher demands for its DDR4 and DDR5 options instead.

Last August, TechCrunch noted TikTok was working to build its own augmented reality (AR) development platform called Effect House, which would allow creators to build AR effects for use in TikTok’s video app. Today, Effect House has officially gone live. The platform has been operating in a close beta since last fall, where it’s so far been adopted by more than 450 creators who have gone on to publish their effects on TikTok, where they’ve been used in 1.5 billion videos gaining over 600 billion views globally, says TikTok.
The company is now opening up beta access to encourage further development.
The launch will put TikTok in closer competition with both Snap and Meta, both of which already offer a range of tools that allow developers to build out AR experiences and effects for their own respective families of applications.

🗞Clubhouse starts rolling out dark mode on iOS and Android
Clubhouse is rolling out a new dark mode setting on its iOS and Android apps starting today, the company announced in a blog post this week. The company says dark mode was a highly requested feature and is designed to make it easier for night owls to hang out on its platform at night. Instead of a featuring a completely black interface, the dark mode has a “velvety dark background” with light text.
“We’ve heard your pleas,” the company said in a blog post. “We’ve spotted your tweets. We’ve seen your hacked together solutions and mocked up versions of the UI of your dreams. And while it might have taken us longer than what would be considered ‘fast’ or ‘reasonable’ or ‘at all acceptable by human standards,’ the wait is finally over.”
You can turn on the new mode by navigating to your settings and selecting “dark mode.” You also have the option to select an “Always Dark Mode” setting along with a “User Device Settings” option.

💡Set Up a Simple Backup System
We all know we should back up our computers, but it’s always one of those things that you’ll set up “one day”. Setting up a backup only takes minutes, though, so you can do it right now and forget about it until you need it—and when you do need it, you’ll be glad you set it up. If you’re just backing up to an external drive, you can just use the simple tools built in to your computer, like Windows Backup or Apple’s Time Machine. However, that’ll only keep you safe if your computer fails. If you lose your home in a fire, get all your gear stolen, or experience any other kind of disaster (God forbid), you’ll have lost all those important documents, family photos, and other files forever. So, we recommend using a service like CrashPlan to back up your computer online. That way, it can back up no matter where you are, and that data will be safe no matter what happens to your hardware.
