Q1. Why did MHRB decide to begin operations in India? What makes India a suitable market?

A1. India is one of the biggest economic systems in the world, partnership with them was something in our road map for sure. Through this partnership we will be able to work with an Indian entity to grow our brand and solutions to a wider audience. In addition to that, India is home to one of the biggest faith-based and ethical communities, thus this partnership was something where we see a win-win for both sides of the partnership.

Q2. Where did the idea of MHRB originate from?

A2. Well, Marhaba was incubated when we were researching DeFi protocols. We discovered most of them are strictly non Faith compliant (not halal / non-faith based). Hence Marhaba was born to bring the first Halal DeFi solutions, to include the Muslim community AS WELL into the DeFi ecosystem.

We are much more than a single product. Its an entire ecosystem that has a range of DeFi products. Some building on existing DeFi “lego blocks” and others completely innovative. We are striving to allow individuals who are keen and interested in DeFi to earn, sell, borrow and yield on DeFi products hence the suite of applications. Our goal is to create an ecosystem where our Sahal Wallet will serve as the gateway and $MRHB as the token behind it to power and govern the ecosystem.

Q3. What is a halal DeFi eco-system?

A3. Halal means permissible and whatever is allowed by Islam falls under as halal. Islam and all Ibrahimic (Christianity, Judaism, Islam and etc) have regulations on how finance and business should be managed.

Halal DeFi ecosystem will be an entire suite of solutions that are catered to this 1.7+ billion population that is guided by the religious regulations.

It's a mixture of good business practice, non-interest related finance and high Ethics.

Q4. What are the problems that MHRB is trying to solve?

A4. Financial exclusion is one of the major problems in the world. Many researchers have found that financial inclusion can contribute to eliminating poverty and many of the issues in the world. Marhaba Defi is focusing on financial inclusion. Shariah compliance is the main ingredient of $MRHB token and Marhaba platform that aims to bring ethical and social values to the defi world.

Q5. How do you plan on promoting the concept of a halal DeFi ecosystem in India?

We plan on continuously grow our engagement with all communities including india’s community, by making it easier for our Indian community to understand the solutions we are bringing and opening a communication door through various mediums of engagement. These could be Telegram channels, discord channels, SM and etc.

Just like how we have partnered with an amazing organization like Coinsbit India, we will continuously partner with other organizations in India. These partnership will help us market MRHB to the wider Indian audience.
