A study of 1,539 projects in crypto's top 100 by market cap shows 71.9% are effectively dead (delisted or <$10K daily volume). Median token lifespan is 2 years and 4 months; only ~15% survive 10 years.
Top 100 status doesn't guarantee success.
Altcoin takeaway: Projects vanish quickly. Take profits during rallies, reassess regularly, and avoid emotional attachment.
Bitcoin is a distinct long-term bet, but risk management still matters.

Michael Saylor joked that only Satoshi Nakamoto has sold less Bitcoin than him.
Satoshi holds over 1 million untouched BTC.
However, Saylor’s Strategy has recently sold or transferred Bitcoin, contradicting his past advice to "sell your kidney" instead. Each sale now requires a new justification to align with his HODL philosophy, making the situation appear increasingly desperate.

The crypto market is holding relatively steady today, with Bitcoin trading above $65K while total market capitalisation remains near $2.28 trillion.
BNB and SOL are showing relative strength, while Ethereum remains softer around the $1.62K area.
Overall, the market is not showing a full breakout yet, but there is still resilience in the major coins.
Sentiment remains in Fear, with the Fear & Greed Index at 30. That shows traders are still cautious, even as the market avoids a deeper pullback.
For now, Bitcoin holding above the $65K zone is constructive. If buyers can keep momentum and broader participation returns across altcoins, the market could attempt a stronger recovery move.

BITCOIN HAS THE BUYERS. SO WHERE’S THE BREAKOUT?
Bitcoin is back around $65,000, recovering from roughly $62K at the beginning of August.
And institutional demand looks considerably stronger.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $853.5 million last week — the biggest weekly inflow since mid-April.
BlackRock’s IBIT alone accounted for approximately $693 million of that demand.
Yet Bitcoin is still struggling to make a decisive move.
That may be the most interesting signal in the market right now.

Money is entering through ETFs.
The dollar has softened following weak U.S. employment data.
Even the Senate delaying the CLARITY Act until after recess failed to knock BTC materially lower. Bitcoin is still up around 3.7% over the past week.
So why isn’t BTC exploding higher?
One possibility is simple:
There is still enough selling above current prices to absorb all that new demand.
And today brought another reminder of that supply — Strategy disclosed that it sold 1,690 BTC for roughly $108.6 million last week, although the sale was connected to its broader capital-management strategy rather than a wholesale exit from Bitcoin.
There is also a major catalyst approaching.
🇺🇸 U.S. CPI arrives Wednesday.
If inflation comes in softer and ETF inflows continue, Bitcoin could finally get the catalyst needed to escape the current range.
If inflation surprises higher — or BTC continues failing to rally despite good news — the lack of momentum becomes considerably more concerning.
Our read:
Bitcoin currently has strength, but not momentum.
Buyers are clearly present.
Now the market needs to prove they are stronger than the supply waiting above.
The next few days could tell us whether $65K is accumulation…
…or simply resistance.
