The crypto market is under renewed pressure today, with Bitcoin slipping below the $64K level while total market capitalisation holds near $2.25 trillion.
BTC and BNB are both trading lower, while the broader market is struggling to build meaningful momentum.
For now, buyers are defending the current range, but there is still no clear confirmation that a stronger recovery has started.
Sentiment remains in Fear at 29, showing that traders are still cautious and confidence remains fragile.
Derivatives activity also deserves attention. Open interest is sitting near $91.7B, while around $160.5M in liquidations over the past 24 hours shows that leveraged positions continue to be flushed as volatility remains elevated.
For now, Bitcoin reclaiming $64K would be the first constructive signal. Until then, the market remains vulnerable to another move lower if buyers fail to step in with stronger volume.

Hyperliquid blocks US users due to regulatory risks. Its Policy Center negotiates with the CFTC for a framework on on-chain decentralized perpetual futures.
In May, the CFTC approved the first regulated US perpetual futures, like those on Kalshi, and eased routing through foreign platforms.
However, direct access to Hyperliquid remains closed for US residents. HYPE rose 2% briefly.

GOLDMAN SACHS JUST BOUGHT ITS WAY DEEPER INTO CRYPTO
Goldman Sachs has agreed to acquire ETF manager NEOS Investments for up to $2.25 billion.
NEOS manages around $30 billion across 19 ETFs.
But here’s the crypto angle 👇
The firm already operates Bitcoin and Ethereum-focused income products, including:
If the transaction closes as planned, Goldman won’t need to build this part of its crypto ETF business from zero.
It inherits the products, infrastructure and existing investor base.
And that matters.
This acquisition is not primarily a crypto deal — NEOS specializes broadly in options-based income strategies.
But it shows something bigger:
Traditional finance no longer needs to decide whether crypto belongs inside Wall Street.
It is increasingly deciding how to package it, monetize it and distribute it.
A few years ago, banks debated whether Bitcoin was investable.
Now one of Wall Street’s biggest names is buying an asset manager that already sells BTC and ETH strategies.
That is a very different conversation.

Yesterday’s ETF flows produced a very interesting divergence.
At first glance, Bitcoin outflows look bearish.
But look at the whole picture.
Money did not simply leave crypto.
Some of it moved toward different crypto exposure.
That distinction matters.
Fidelity’s FBTC accounted for $46.8M of Bitcoin withdrawals, while BlackRock’s IBIT recorded another $14.3M in outflows.
Meanwhile, BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF attracted fresh capital and Solana products also saw positive flows.
So this was not a classic:
“Institutions are dumping crypto.”
It looked more like:
“Institutions are becoming selective.”
And that could become one of the most important trends to watch.
For most of the institutional era, Bitcoin absorbed almost everything.
If capital begins spreading between BTC, ETH and selected large-cap assets, crypto may gradually move away from a Bitcoin-only institutional market.
⚠️ One day does NOT confirm a rotation.
But if this pattern repeats for several sessions, pay attention.
Because an altcoin cycle does not necessarily begin with retail suddenly buying everything.
It can begin much more quietly: capital starts looking beyond Bitcoin.

One of the biggest changes happening in crypto right now has almost nothing to do with speculation.
Standard Chartered-backed Anchorpoint Financial has begun rolling out HKD At Par — a regulated Hong Kong dollar stablecoin.
The first phase is aimed at institutional distributors and professional investors.
And the goal is not meme coins.
Not leverage.
Not yield farming.
It is payments and settlement.
Anchorpoint — a joint venture involving Standard Chartered, Animoca Brands and Hong Kong Telecommunications — wants businesses to integrate tokenized HKD directly into commercial and financial applications.
Broader retail access could follow as early as the end of 2026.
This is where the stablecoin story gets much bigger.
For years, stablecoins were primarily the dollars traders used to move between crypto positions.
Now banks and payment companies increasingly see them as financial infrastructure.
Money that can move:
24/7.
Across blockchain rails.
Between financial applications.
Without waiting for traditional settlement windows.
The interesting question is no longer:
“Will banks adopt crypto?”
It may become:
“How much of banking eventually moves onto crypto infrastructure?”

Nasdaq filed a proposal with the SEC to simplify listing and trading options on cryptocurrency ETFs.
This would allow listing under standardized exchange rules instead of requiring separate SEC approval for each product, applying to ETFs tracking leading cryptocurrencies.
Approval could significantly reduce regulatory friction and broaden market access.
