Kerala Police is observing 2019 as the “Year of Cyber Security” and one priority is to combat Child pornography and crimes against Children. The State Police Chief has constituted a “CCSE( Counter Child Sexual Exploitation) Unit for Kerala Police exclusively for this purpose. In this regard an operation titled Operation P-Hunt is initiated to identify such persons who are largely engaged in transmitting Child pornographic contents over Social media. In the raids conducted all over the state, 21 persons we're booked for transmitting CP content. Kerala Police has decided to continue with its operation and has taken a policy of Zero tolerance to Child pornography. Kerala Police seeks the support of the community in this project, and if any member of the public, comes across any such channels or groups, that spread child sex-related content, we urge you to please inform Cyberdome, Cyber cell or High tech cell at the earliest.

ഗൂഗിള്‍ന്‍റെ My Business feature ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിര്‍മിക്കുന്ന വ്യാജ കസ്റ്റമര്‍ സപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് വെബ് സൈറ്റ്കള്‍ (ഉദാ: https://support-center-.business.site/) ലിസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യാറുണ്ട്. ഈ സൈറ്റ് കളില്‍ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന മൊബൈല്‍ നമ്പറില്‍ ബന്ധപെടുന്ന ഉപഭോക്താവിന്റെ പണം റീഫണ്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി ATM കാര്‍ഡ്‌/ക്രെഡിറ്റ്‌ കാര്‍ഡ്‌ നമ്പര്‍, validity date, cvv എന്നിവ തട്ടിപ്പുകാര്‍ ചോദിച്ചു മനസിലാക്കുകയും ഉപഭോക്താവിന്റെ മൊബൈലില്‍ വരുന്ന കോഡ് പറയുവാന്‍ ആവശ്യപെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഈ code ഷെയര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതോട് കൂടി ഉപഭോക്തവിന് പണം നഷ്ടമാകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
മേല്‍പറഞ്ഞ രീതിയിലുള്ള സാമ്പത്തിക തട്ടിപ്പ് ഈ അടുത്ത കാലത്തായി കൂടുതലായി കണ്ടു വരുന്നുണ്ട്.ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള വ്യജ കസ്റ്റമര്‍ കെയര്‍ വെബ് സൈറ്റുകളെ കുറിച്ച് ഉപഭോക്താക്കൾ ജാഗ്രത പുലർത്തേണ്ടതാണ് .
കൂടാതെ പണം റീഫണ്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി ഉപഭോക്താവിന്റെ ഫോണിൽ നിന്നും ഏതെങ്കിലും തരത്തിലുള്ള കോഡുകൾ SMS അയക്കുന്നതും കാർഡ് ഇൻഫൊർമേഷൻ ,OTP എന്നിവ ഷെയർ ചെയ്യുന്നതും അക്കൗണ്ടിൽ നിന്നും പണം നഷ്ടമാകുന്നതിനുള്ള കാരണങ്ങളാണ്.ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ അതീവ ജാഗ്രത അക്കൗണ്ട് ഉടമകൾ പുലർത്തേണ്ടതാണ് .

CODSEC-2019 | Policing the Future | Idea Hunt
Kerala Police Cyberdome is organising CODSEC-2019 to identify innovative ideas/project from public, which can equip the police department for the future, in this exponentially growing information technology world. Such ideas should help facilitate the Kerala police in infusing digital technology for better policing.
The participants have to identify an idea, create an abstract and submit it for review. The abstract submission has to be in PDF format uploaded in Google Form.
The submitted ideas will be evaluated by a committee and the best ideas will be awarded during the CODSEC-2019 event scheduled to be conducted on July - 2019. The selected participants will then be provided a couple of weeks to create the prototype of the idea and submit for final evaluation. They will be reviewed by the judging panel and the best projects will be awarded appropriately.
The last date of submission of the PDF abstract will be open till 17-07-2019 6.00 pm
