ALERT – RANSOMWARE THREAT
In view of recent ransomware attack, all the small, medium and large organizations are hereby alerted to protect yourself by taking proper back-up of your data as a risk mitigation practice.
Back-up recommendation: 3-2-1 Rule.
1. 1. Keep 3 separate copies of your data on 2 different storage types with 1 copy offline.
1. 2. Additionally, make one more copy on an immutable (can't be altered) and one indelible (can't be deleted) on cloud storage server.
1. 3. Ideally, organizations should be backing up their most important data at least once per day.
In case of a ransomware attack, the user can wipe the computer clean and reinstall the backup files and continue business as usual.
