Dr. Mohammed El Lahawi graduated from the University of Khartoum and completed his neurology residency and specialist training in the United Kingdom. He has worked in several prestigious teaching and university hospitals across the UK before joining Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Abu Dhabi, as a Consultant Neurologist in 2017.
He served as Division Chief of Adult Neurology at SKMC from 2019 to 2025 and has a special interest in Epilepsy, Headache Disorders, and Central Nervous System Infections. His academic contributions include numerous publications, clinical audits, systematic reviews, and participation in international drug trials.
Among his recognitions are:
🏆 SEHA Audit Hero Award (2024)
🏆 Royal College of Physicians of London Award for Education, Training and Medical Professionalism (2025)
🏆 Second Prize – SKMC Abu Dhabi Research Week (2025)
Dr. El Lahawi has over 25 years of experience in Neurology and is the founder of Dr. Ellahawi’s NeuroTube, an educational platform established in 2015 to support medical students, trainees, residents, and physicians interested in neurology.

Qualifications:
MBBS • MRCP • FRCP (London) • CCST (Neurology)
Dr. Mohammed El Lahawi graduated from the University of Khartoum and completed his neurology residency and specialist training in the United Kingdom. He has worked in several prestigious teaching and university hospitals across the UK before joining Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Abu Dhabi, as a Consultant Neurologist in 2017.
He served as Division Chief of Adult Neurology at SKMC from 2019 to 2025 and has a special interest in Epilepsy, Headache Disorders, and Central Nervous System Infections. His academic contributions include numerous publications, clinical audits, systematic reviews, and participation in international drug trials.
Among his recognitions are:
🏆 SEHA Audit Hero Award (2024)
🏆 Royal College of Physicians of London Award for Education, Training and Medical Professionalism (2025)
🏆 Second Prize – SKMC Abu Dhabi Research Week (2025)

شغل منصب رئيس قسم أعصاب البالغين في SKMC خلال الفترة 2019–2025، ويهتم بشكل خاص بمجالات الصرع، والصداع، والتهابات الجهاز العصبي المركزي.
