​Today marks the raising day of the National Security Guard, India’s premier counter-terrorism unit popularly known as the Black Cats. ✅✅
👉 Facts :
​Established: 1984, under the National Security Guard Act, following Operation Blue Star.
​Motto: "Sarvatra Sarvottam Suraksha" - Omnipresent Omnipotent Security.

​Missions: Counter-terrorism, counter-hijacking, hostage rescue, and special reconnaissance.

​Structure: Comprises the Special Action Group for core military ops and the Special Ranger Group for support roles.

​Personnel: Drawn entirely on deputation from the Indian Army, Central Armed Police Forces, and State Police forces.
